My wife and I had been there a couple of years ago and we knew what to expect. You're not disappointed with the staff or the room we were staying in, or breakfast. It is a 5-6 Minutes walk to the Florence train station Santa Maria novella.

It was exaclty what we wanted to stay at. Small, quaint, calm, 4 min from the train station so we didn't have to move the luggage far, and only 15 min walk from everypart of the old town.

Nice old world hotel with things you don't see anymore like robes and slippers in the room and room service. Its walkable to sights if you're in reasonably good shape. The hop on hop off bus stop is right around the corner.

What a beautiful property. Old world with beautiful antique furnishings in the open sitting area. Room was spacious, balcony was nice with the morning sun. Staff was lovely and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Liked the stay so much we stayed an extra night! Beautiful linens, nice open air balcony, wonderful breakfast and friendly staff. We booked this as it would be a late night arrival by train. It was perfect for that! Close and convenient walking. Area a bit sketchy although we had no issues. Thank you for everything!

our room was very spacious and clean The employees were very helpful and respectful The only negative thing I can say is that on two occasions the cleaning person or maid came in when we were in our room even when we had a do not disturb sign out. It was a little unsettling but no damage done

The staff at this hotel were excellent across the board—from the front desk to housekeeping, breakfast service, and especially the doormen. The room was fine, though it could definitely use some updates, but I hope they keep its charm intact. Breakfast was a highlight with a wide variety of options. For the price, I’d say it was a good value, especially after staying at a few other hotels in the area. The surrounding neighborhood is just okay, and walking to the main part of Florence means passing by a large garbage collection area. However, the location is convenient for the train station and shopping.

Great location for the train station, great staff, very clean hotel with lots of character. Only reason for four stars was that we were given a ‘classic’ room (as booked) but it had no traditional windows, just a skylight. It also only had one power point available in the corner of the room and the individual sockets there were so close together we could only use / charge one appliance at one time. Overall these issues weren’t worth complaining about though. as we were only in Florence for two nights, but it would have been better if the room photograph reflected this and the (lack of) socket details were mentioned in the advertisement when making our choice. Otherwise, a very nice hotel and with a different room we would stay again.

Perfect for a short stay (e.g. in transition between plane and train), but also could work well for longer term. Very close to train station and airport tram terminal, but also surprisingly quiet. The area seems safe, except for a few homeless/drunk people at the end of street closer to the train station (but they were quiet every time that I passed by). The hotel inside is nicely decorated, and my room was comfortable. The buffet breakfast is not amazing but sufficient. Overall good value for the price.
