2 nights stay not able to sleep. The person upstairs stepping on floor and dragging the chair, it was impossible to rest. The receptionist supervisor did not believe my complaint, he sent a maid to listen which she did. Upon checking out, I asked the same receptionist why he didn’t do anything about the noise. He just laughing stated, we need further investigation because the maid only hear the outside birds singing. What kind of comment was that. We just left, and we will never come back to that place. Please do not stay in this place.

The staff are pleasant and professional. We arrived very late and the desk and bellman waited up for us past midnight. The train station is only 2 blocks away but we had to walk through a sketchy crowd of people and 2 asked for money. It felt unsafe. The room was very warm so we opened the window for cool air but there are no screens so then we had mosquitoe problems. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was great with excellent service. Bottom line: 3 star facility and 5 star staff.

When we first checked in the rep seemed unfriendly towards us. We asked to be placed in upper floor, was adamant to tell us that our request was not possible. He just wasn’t too helpful. Then we noticed when a family who spoke their language came , the rep demeanor was completely different from us. He was laughing with them and joking. Very obvious to us the front office person didn’t particularly like us Americans. Once we walked in to our room, we were feeling uncomfortable knowing the room felt to us like a dungeon . NO clear view of something comforting, but the front street and the side covered in bushes. We asked to move a different room, was told nothing was available. We were stocked in the worse room in the building infested in mosquitos. Our son was covered in mosquitos bites 🙉🙉🙉 Breakfast was mediocre. We had so much better experienced in Rome. Hotel staff went above and beyond to welcome us when we arrived. Always gave us tips where to eat and other suggestions they wanted to share. We were regretful to stay in this hotel. We made sure to tell all our friends and families who have plan to visit Firenze not to booked this hotel.

The room 5 was assigned to me, situated on the ground was really nice. The staff were friendly. The street and surrounding area were grungy and dark. Won’t recommend this hotel to a lone female traveler.
