From the minute we checked in I wished we had more time at this place. I cannot tell you how friendly and welcoming the staff was here. Nice room with high ceilings. Comfortable bathroom with enclosed shower and amazing smelling bath products. We arrived too late to enjoy the happy hour but it looked amazing. Lots of cozy places to sit and tons of options. Breakfast was incredible one of the best croissants I have ever had and the nicest lady working the breakfast room. I did not want to leave. The day we checked out it was raining and the kind desk man walked us out to our taxi with umbrellas and they gifted us a bar of soap. So So nice. Would definitely recommend and return. The only downside would be that it was a lot further of a walk than we had thought from the maps to the center of town for the Uffizi and Duomo. So if you want to walk plan ahead. With a taxi it is very close. Lovely place, lovely garden and lovely people.

I have stayed at the David many times and loved the intimate atmosphere and wonderful hospitality. This was the first time since their renovation 5 years ago and I have to say they kept the best of the old charm and only made it better with the new layout and the addition of an elevator. On the Oltraarno, it makes it less noisy and gives a calming atmosphere in what can be an often crowded city with tourists. The evening gathering of patrons lets us meet our fellow guests over good wine and foulsom delicacies. An altogether wonderful way to experience Florence from an isle of calm.

Hotel David is one of the best hotel I ever been in my entire life, but I’ve been in a lot. The room was very nice and clean. The breakfast is fantastic. You are allowed to have two or three non-alcoholic drinks from the bar every day and on the top of that you have happy hour with free wine and snack. That sounds like pretty much all inclusive hotel. The historical part of Florence is a walkable distance.

Very individual hotel, pride in being eco-friendly. We had a corner room, so 2 balconies. Breakfast was excellent. Free coffee etc during stay. Receptionist was very friendly. A bit of a walk along the riverside to main town but otherwise really good for a relaxed couple of nights.

I need to take a minute and explain that this hotel is really great. The service is fantastic, the room is so quaint and adorable. The location is close enough to walk to all the best spots and all the best food but not so close as to be annoyed by crowds of people. My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay here.

Hotel David was excellent. Starting and ending with the staff - from the front desk to Marcella at the breakfast room, the staff were fantastic. Our Italian is not great, but they were understanding and spoke English well enough to accomplish all we needed. Breakfast was simple and effective with multiple protein options, fruit and pastries. Happy hour included a couple flatbreads that were quite good (and I have gluten allergies). The wines at happy hour I would describe as table wines. Our room was made up every day and impeccably clean and we looked closely. King bed and balcony were nice to haves and I wish we would have taken more advantage of there courtyard out front - traffic noise while outside, but plenty of trees and still nice. The staff also provided us with several dinner recommendations and all three were exceptional. The staff make the difference at Hotel David. Thanks much Hotel David team!

Hotel slightly our of the centre, with its own parking. Hotel room excellent - large with huge outdoor area. Breakfast was excellent. Great choice, indoor and outdoor tables. Three basic drinks for free per day. Happy hour each day, which was used by a lot of guests - quite a social event! Reasonably priced, for a hotel with a homely feel - we would return

This hotel is a gem located just far enough away from the crazy pace of the center city, yet not too far to be walkable. With a public transit stop right in front of the hotel, it is very easy to go to main attractions. Cleanliness and character are excellent. Quality of included breakfast and social hour were fantastic. Service was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

Hotel David is truly a gem. It is a quaint, peaceful, and beautiful hotel. We had the most amazing view of Florence. They had breakfast and happy hours included which was super nice. The staff was so friendly, our room was super clean. It was perfect. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is great, they give free appetizers and drinks daily (6:30-8pm) and each client gets 3 drinks each daily. Staff is really nice, room 33 was excellent with great views.
