My daughter and I stayed here for a couple nights late September. The location is very convenient, a 5 minute walk from the train station. We were one block from the leather market and walkable to everything. Staff was nice and breakfast was simple. Pastries,breads,yogurts,cereal. Do not expect a typical American breakfast. We arrived a couple hours before checkin time but they labeled our luggage, put it aside and put it in our room for when we returned from exploring. The place is older and showing a lot of wear. The bedroom was spacious enough but the bathroom is TINY. It worked for us but if you are larger you will have a hard time. If you put your hands on your hips in the shower both elbows will touch the walls. It was difficult to shut the bathroom door because you had to try and move all the way to the other side and try to shut it. The sink drained very slow so don’t leave the water running while you brush your teeth. The hairdryer in the room worked for 20 seconds shut off. The office gave me one to borrow instead. Be aware in the morning around 6:30-7:00 it will be LOUD with banging outside. I think it was the leather market workers setting up and rolling their carts down the road. At night it was also very loud because you can hear the people on the street and outside in cafes talking. We are not fancy travelers or high maintenance. I would stay somewhere different if I were to return. Mainly for the noise while sleeping.

If you need to stay near the train station then this property is perfect. But that’s about all I can say that’s positive. Mold in the shower, mold in the soap dish, the cover to the toilet button fell off on its first use. Street noise lasted well into the early morning hours. Look around and maybe save some money somewhere else because this place is a dump…

Basic!

The staff are friendly, but hotel is extremely basic. Bedding and towels worn, bathroom not clean - and had years of wear and tear and build up. Hotel is on a busy street and it felt like I was trying to sleep in the middle of a pub until gone 2am. Breakfast was basic continental. Cereal, bread, small yoghurt pot. Left baggage, is just left in the hallway, and you leave your room key when exiting. It felt like anyone could ask for and be given your room key. Or take your bag. Interesting art collection and close to station.

The most we liked was the kindness and service of RIA, the person in the counter. She was always open to help us. The hotel is in very good location: near to the train station and in the heart of all the main attractions. One point very important in summer: the room had Air Conditioner !!!
