Very charming and quirky hotel. Rooms were great. My only real negative comment was the cost of the cocktails at the rooftop bar. $28 Euros ($43 Canadian) for a cocktail even at a hotel bar is egregious.

This hotel is in a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist us with any requests. Although we only stayed one night at the hotel, the property and the room were stunning. Great service. Doorman was extremely helpful and the front desk staff as well. Our visit to Italy was mainly in Rome, but we took the train to other cities for short visits. Florence is an incredible city. The property is located in the heart of Florence and within walking distance to everything. It is about 100 ft. from the Ferragamo museum (highly recommended). The only thing that we found kind of quirky is that the entrance to the hotel appears to be the entrance to a high-end retail store, which is right next door. We were using Google maps to navigate the short walk from the train station to the hotel. We were right in from of the entrance for 3 or 4 minutes and we did not realize it because it looked like the entrance to the store. If we ever go back to Florence, we will certainly stay at this hotel.

Such a gorgeous property and close to all major shopping plus sights. The staff are so kind and obliging that we felt right at home. I especially the loved the doormen who were so attentive. We ate at the restaurant, had drinks at the bar and the Butterfly Terrace (the Minerbetti Spritz is amazing), and had room service, all of which I would highly recommend. Rooms are large and spacious, the cleaning and refilling of coffee/tea and mini bar were sometimes spotty though but nothing that a quick call didn't fix. I've stayed at another hotel across the street every other time I've been to Florence, but after this stay I"ll definitely be switching loyalty to Il Tornabuoni.

Our rooms were beautiful , however the receptionists, especially Albina, were very rude and short tempered. She treated us with disrespect. On the other hand , Michael, Jude, Jonás and Jorge were incredibly kind and generous with recommendations. Other hotels at this level include breakfast. We had 3 rooms for 3 nights.

This place is a five star hotel at its finest. The property is located exactly where you want to be and provides a very easy and short walk to all the major sites, including the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and major museums. It's very subtly located right on a main strip of high end shops, and from our window we could look out onto a bustling (but surprisingly quiet) area, including the piazza. The hotel is beautifully maintained and is very clean and nicely appointed. A hotel is nothing without its staff, and the staff is amazing. Very, very friendly, and a special shout out to Matteo, the concierge. He moved a dinner reservation for us multiple times, found new restaurants for us whenever we needed, and made our stay fabulous. All the other staff (especially Michael and Jorge) were also incredibly friendly and helpful, and we always felt welcome and happy to come into the hotel. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful, well run and well maintained place to stay in Florence. Definitely not our last time coming to this hotel.
