The hotel was located on a quiet street on the perimeter of the central historic where sites such as the Duomo and the Ufizi are found. We loved the location as it was quiet and only a 5 minute walk to excellent restauants and 10 minutes to the historic central. The hotel has a nice blend of traditional and modern decor. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful in providing restaurant recommendations. Our garden-view room was much larger than we typically have seen in hotels in Italy. Orto De Medici is a well-priced gem.

The hotel and all of their staff were so kind and accommodating. The view and location is just beautiful. The hotel is very clean with a lot of italian charm.

Wonderful Hotel with convenient location
We only had one night in Florence, and this hotel was perfect for my family! We are a family of four with two teenagers and we were able to get a room with a large king and two twins. The room was plenty spacious and the bathroom was too. The shower was huge and the pressure was great. We all wish we could stay longer. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and the front desk was super helpful with holding our bags and calling taxis, etc. We came by train, walked to the hotel and dropped our bags until our room was ready. They had a welcome bottle of wine for us which was a nice touch. Breakfast exceeded our expectations-we were expecting a typical European buffet, but there were eggs and bacon and lots of goodies for the kids. We loved our stay here! Grazie Mille! Made us feel us like VIP.

This hotel was about a 15 minute walk from the train station and only a 5 minute walk to the art museum we planned to visit. There was plenty of shopoing, dining and other things to see all within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and our room was perfect!

Absolute great location - just about 10 minutes from the center, duomo etc. very nice and clean room and they were able to accommodate 3 ppl which is hard to find.
