Service from reception , to breakfast to bars was sporadic, some staff were friendly, attentive and efficient , whilst others it seemed as if they could care less and were more interested in talking amongst themselves than service customers, a 5 star hotel with 3 star service, which makes it rather over priced

The hotel was very good indeed. The eooms were spacious and comfortable, the pool area was lovely and well managed, the breakfasts excellent with plenty of choice, and the location great for access to central Valetta. The only improvement I would request is the check-in procedure. There was constantly a queue and some got drinks whilst waiting whilst others (like us) did not. Otherwise, it was excellent.

Reception and concierge staff excellent. Breakfast staff are less so - lots of them but slow to respond to requests, if at all. Beach side staff very slow and apparently forgetful. Beach area should be kept immaculate but staff walking by dropped items. Both areas need tighter management, otherwise a very nice hotel.

The location was close to town although there are steep stairs to get out of the hotel. Inside the hotel lobby and bar area are great along with the swimming pool. There were lots of nice cocktails to try.

Great location and free car park allowed us the freedom we wanted to explore the island in a rental car. Food and service very good. One gripe was we felt a concierge/doorman was needed to make sure people queued fairly for the shuttle bus. Taking 8 people every 20 mins meant on several occasions there was not room and people tended to push in because of this. The walk was fine and only took us 8 mins but lots of steps to negotiate for those with dodgy hips or knees

Great venue for a stay in Valetta

Lovely traditional hotel, very plush with multiple bars and restaurants. Excellent breakfast four range. Great service. Large indoor and outdoor pools, we always managed to get sun beds, but there were noticeable towels on beds in prime locations which were unused for long periods, very annoying! Overall an excellent stay and would stay there again.

Nice pool outside. Hotel is older but clean. Good location. But service terrible. In 5 star hotel should be better service in this hotel we didnt feel welcome. You feel like you are bothering everyone if u ask for anything.
