The room smelled slightly stale, or maybe like someone had smoked there. The thermostat didn't work so we were stuck with the temperature. But it was reasonably clean and the people who worked there were friendly enough.

Rooms were dirty. Red chairs need to be thrown away. Didnt look like sheets were being changed. Dirty in several rooms. Maid service left me without towels one day. Breakfast ran out of everything. Staff tried their best but it was apparent there just werent enough of them. Owner simply doesnt care. He had our money already.

This was our 2nd stay at this location. No issues either time. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. Rooms are clean and fixed up daily.

We were disapppointed with our stay. The only aspect we liked was the bed itself which was comfortable, the desk service was fine. Everything else was unimpressive from the moment we walked in. There was a piece of wood in front of the rod to hang clothes making it extremely hard to hook/unhook. The floors looked and felt dirty. The bathroom toilet had gross rust (or worse) seeping out the back side. They offered minimal towels. We stayed for two nights for a wedding and when they came in they had refreshed soap we didn't need, emptied a garbage, and that was it. No new or additional towels were provided as mentioned and the bed was not remade. The cold air was turned on and the nobs were broken off so it was not adjustable at all. We were on the ground floor, front facing, and there was no privacy curtain, anyone could see in. We could also smell people smoking right outside. When closing the blackout curtains they got stuck closed so we were unable to open them the next morning. Speaking of, while the feature of a continental breakfast was nice, everything -and I mean literally almost everything - was gone by about 9am when we went, though service went till 10. No hot food (which looked gross) or coffee. When my husband showered we also learned they installed the water backwards so cold was hot and hot was cold. Hot however is generous, more like lukewarm at best. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel stays we've had in a long time, if ever. Do not recommend.

Fond du lac is a very beautiful city
Check-in was fast and the room was large. The location was convient to the city and eating establishments.

Very large bathroom with nothing in it. Mostly wasted space. The bathtub floor was so slippery, even with skid strips built in, that I had to hold on when I showered as much as I could, even though there were no grab bars within the tub. The vanity was a joke. No place to put toiletries. But most of all, the bath towels were only slightly larger than the hand towels.

I check in about 8:30 pm and walked out about 8:40 pm. the room smelled of smoke, dirty socks and chemical. So many people smoking in parking lot, smoke was wafting in thru the doors to the lobby, there is a noisy truck stop next door. In less than 30 min, I check in and out of the Country Inn.

I didn't like the train but that's not hotel fault. I didn't like that there wasn't 1 single vending machine. No drinks nothing. I had to check in a little early they let me.

Property was clean, kind of dingy outside though. Had broke down semi trailer parked out front and a grotesque skeeter pond out back. Housekeeping staff was chipper and polite when. Front desk staff was cold and as flat as sheets, maybe they should consider professions alone in cubicles.

I will never stay at another Country Inn and Suites…way too expensive for the condition of the hotel. The bath towels were horrible…should have been used for cleaning rags instead!!! The woman checking us in last evening was lovely to us, however.
