I stayed at the Super 8 in Fond du Lac for two nights. Overall, it was a solid budget option, though with a few things that could be improved. The location is great—close to restaurants, stores, and the highway, which made it really convenient. Check-in was fast, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room itself was clean and fairly spacious, and the bed was comfortable, which is really all I needed. The Wi-Fi worked well, and I appreciated the free breakfast, even though it was pretty basic (just some grab-and-go items like muffins, juice, and granola bars). That said, the room did feel a little dated—some of the furniture had wear and tear. All in all, if you're looking for a clean, affordable place to crash for a night or two, this Super 8 gets the job done. Just keep your expectations realistic—it's no frills, but decent value for the money.

Room Dingy, Not Clean. Will not stay again.

The hotel is not updated. As we stayed in the room we noticed the room was not clean, as you can see from the pictures. Thankfully we only stayed one night. If we had stayed more nights we would have left and found another hotel. The hotel staff did not man the the counter and you had to ring for them every time. As we were packing to check out we noticed dog poop under the desk that had been there for quite a while, again another picture. We did not bring this up to hotel staff as there was no staff at the front desk and we had to be somewhere else so could not wait. Also as we walked to our room there were clearly no smoking signs posted everywhere but the smell of weed was quite noticeable. This only happened once but it was strong. The room hvac controls were button and dials, no thermostat. This made controlling the temperature in the room impossible. Will make it a point in the future to avoid this hotel.
