Different. Probably was a great place 20 years ago, but needs some TLC. When checked in first time, got the key, and room was occupied. OK. Stuff happens and staff did investigate. The hallway did have a pretty rough smell, which I let the staff know. The folks at front desk were nice folks. But hotel would benefit from work and capital investment. The parking-lot needs resurfacing. If on a motorcycle and wet, use some caution. In a car, no issues. I needed a place to stay for a night and reviews were OK. Well, OK. The stairs going down to harbor are an 'at your own risk' proposition. This place I would rate at maybe a 6/10. Unsure of other places in the Fort Bragg area, but search kept hitting on this one so gave it a shot. Knowing what I now know, would look for something else. It was OK. Again, no ding on folks, just facility. I walked down steps to harbor and had excellent fish/chips/IPA with company of a seal. I'll put photo of place at bottom.

2nd floor view wasn’t quite as much as a over view of the harbor, but was still beautiful from the right angle and worth the extra cost. Room was average, with basic amenities. Bathroom fan was loud. For the price, not bad and would stay there again!!

Right beside Noyo Harbor which is within walking distance but is a treacherous walk. Walking path from lodge to Noyo Harbor but closed for Maintainence. Lodge is great! Staff are super.

We enjoyed our stay at Harbor Lite Lodge. The rooms were large and spacious. We had a nice balcony to sit on in the mornings. Our room did not have a view of the Harbour but one of the housekeepers let us view one of the rooms with a view. The view from the harbour rooms is so beautiful. The staff are friendly and the hotel is clean.

The beds are comfortable. I paid extra for a Harbor View room, but the room faced mostly toward the parking lot instead. The bathroom definitely needed to be fixed. There was water leaking from the base of the toilet. You could see water pooling on the floor around the bottom, and there was some mold forming in that area as well. It looked like the leak had been going on for a while.

Loved it!

Huge room with a patio overlooking the Harbor. Clean with updated amenities. Even though it was close to Hw 1, room was very quiet. Stocked with enough soft towels and scoffed accessories for a roomful of people. Bed’s were so comfortable after a long ride up Hwy 1, slept like a baby. And the TV - huge, like 80 inches, felt like we were in a theater. Definitely book here.

Favorite Place to Stay

This is my favorite place to stay in Fort Bragg/Mendocino. The location is excellent and the views are always great (get a view room, it’s worth it!). It is very clean and so comfortable! My only feedback would be that it needs a little updating. Some of the flooring and fixtures are very old BUT they are clean and that’s most important to me. Staff is always friendly and everything is so nice and convenient here, including parking which is a huge plus.

Nice lodge by the main road, near to some fast good and beaches nearby. Near to Sea Pal with excellent fish & chips for having dinner after 8pm. Room is spacious and parking is free and right near to the rooms.

Great experience all around. Folks at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Short walk to the harbor. They even upgraded us to a room with a view at no extra charge. Will definitely go back!
