I cannot say enough about this little gem. I have skipped over it every time I’ve stayed in FOCO because it looks a little dated. BUT this place is great and I will stay again! The kindest staff: I accidentally left a few items and they took the time to call me and ask if I wanted it before they tossed it. When does that ever happen? The beds are incredibly comfy, front desk guy personally brought me an other blanket within 5 minutes of asking. Didn’t try breakfast but you won’t find great free breakfast at FOCO hotels. My daughter goes to school at CSU and we’ve stayed at a lot of hotels. This is our new choice on repeat. Thank you Kiva

I will say this - WAY better than I expected. This hotel is a bit outdated and the area is not great. BUT this hotel was really clean, comfortable, breakfast was better than Holiday Inn Express types, hot tub was well maintained and clean. This was a really good value (especially on a Border War weekend). Good job Kiva Inn!

The room was pretty small, but clean. We were on the ground floor and the window looked directly to a parked car. I am talking 5 feet away. The neighborhood is a little sketchy. The cleanliness of the hotel was fine. The breakfast was a little odd. Egg rolls....hmmm. We enjoyed the outdoor pool quite a bit. It is why we picked this hotel to visit the college for orientation. It was HOT in Ft. Collins that weekend and the pool was nice. It faces the highway...but that didn't matter to us. We attempted to change rooms, to be on the 2nd floor. They didn't have availability the 1st night but the manager sought us out the next morning and offered the room to us. We declined, but it was nice that he offered. Not sure we would stay at this hotel again, the location wasn't as nice or ideal for our needs.

Book Directly Next Time
Place was definitely good for value. My only issue was I had to be present to check in and I couldn’t have another guest check in due to “3rd party booking” which was through hotels.com. I guess if I would’ve booked directly through best western, it wouldn’t have been an issue and I could’ve added the other guests to check in. VERY inconvenient.
