The property is about 25 miles away from the main area of Terlingua. The ranch is located at the end of a road that turns into a dirt road. We had two nights booked and only stayed one. We stayed our second night in the Ghost Town area and it was very nice Hotel and close to the main area of town with restaurants and evening activities. The night we stayed at the Ranch there was a rain storm and the road to the Ranch was washed out. We helped rebuild an area of the road so we and others could get out to the main street. Thankfully We had a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Dark at night. We saw lots of stars. Restaurant on site was good. Every staff member was pleasant. Bit of a drive in but worth.

I like everything here, clean room, friendly staffs. One thing I do not like is it’s far from the national park and the road is uneven to drive.

Remote location, no cell service terrible service

There was no disclosure on the site about how far off the beaten path the hotel is located. 30 miles from Study Butte/Terlingua down a partially paved/poor dirt road and over an hour from Big Bend. No cell service, terrible internet and one captive restaurant of dubious quality. No TV in the room. Room was spartan to say the least with very hard mattresses. It was clean - about the only plus. No coffee for guests or ice, have to pay for everything. Tried to check out early (after one night of 3 night stay) and they refused to refund the balance despite agreeing with all of our points of dissatisfaction. The desk even acknowledged they have a lot of disappointed guests due to the remote location. Apparently the ranch is a time-share as well, which explains a lot. Our car and backs may never recover from getting in and out. Do NOT stay here.

Considering that there are very few accommodations around Big Bend National Park, this remote lodge is not the worst choice for those who drive into the park from the west. The cabins, each designed for four families, are quite cozy. The restaurant is open from morning until 9 p.m. However, there are a few drawbacks: 1. The last three miles of the road are unpaved, and the car gets covered with an inch of dust. Inside the property, there is no asphalt, and there is sand and dust all around. 2. In the evening, there are no streetlights, making it difficult to move around. 3. It's in the middle of nowhere and quite far from Terlingua

Very comfortable rooms. The area is austere, remote and desolate but room is very adequate . Beautiful sky full of stars. The Bad Rabbit Cafe is good. Very interesting place .

Hours of staff not great. We never saw any the whole time of our stay. They came after we left in the morning, and they were gone before we got back at night. It's located a long way off of the main highway and the last 3 mi of road are not good. The Numbers of the buildings. need to be lit up for people who come in after dark And the floor where we stayed was sticky. Apparently not rinsed well after cleaning.

The lodge is very secluded in the middle of no where. 16 miles from main road to the property. WiFi is spotty. It’s the wild Wild West. Was shocked to see the property and the stretch of dirt gravel road to the property.

We loved our stay! The staff were friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We enjoyed eating at the Bad Rabbit Café on site, and even enjoyed a karaoke night at the basement entertainment center. The drive on Terilingua Ranch Road is lengthy, but definitely worth it!

The suite was nice and clean. The front desk receptionist was lovely. We loved the cafe! Staff was friendly, service was fast and the food was delish. The suite was a bit outdated, a lil run down. But clean! I hate that they advertised for WiFi when it didn’t work AT ALL. There is no tv, no room telephone to call in with concerns (cell phone service didn’t work), no microwave so we couldn’t heat leftovers or have any food in the suite. you have to drive 45 minutes (on an unpaved road) to this location from the main road, so keep that in mind.

I'd Stay There Again, but Bring My Coffee Maker!!

Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Loved how remote the place was. The only complaint I have is that I wish they had coffee makers in the rooms. I like to have coffee on the porch i. The morni gs, before having to face other humans for the day. 😂

A lovely room and people. Not as quiet as one might think being 16 miles off 118.

Inconvenient. Way out of town. Far from the parks. Rough rocky road. If that's what you are looking for go for it. Rooms large enough. Nice climate control units. Decks with chairs and good sunset views. BUT rooms share thin walls with three other rooms. Made for noisy nights. Office woman seemed bothered by customers.

Booked here for the cost savings compared to Terlingua while visiting Big Bend NP. The lodge is a very, very long drive to remote location. Lady who works the office was efficient but not at all friendly. Your "cabin" is actually a quad plex, and you will hear talking from the other three rooms under the same roof sharing the same floor. If other guests are loud it will sound like they are in your room. We left a day early and ate the loss because we couldn't sleep for hearing conversations, toilets flushing, etc. People who run the on-site cafe were very nice and helpful.
