The photos on Expedia do not reflect the actual condition of the hotel. The entrance into the hotel carpet was dirty and showed heavy foot traffic wear on the carpet. The door and walk in area was a little messy. In my room, the carpet was coming up around the corners where the bathroom meets the main room. The carpet has heavy foot stains overall. My bedsheets had a stain on them. Overall, I gave a low score because the photos they presented on Expedia does not reflect the actual condition of the property. The staff was friendly though.

The staff were nice. This is sn older motel with remote check-in . You had to get up and walk to the diner for coffee and breakfast which we paid for. The microwave did not work, no coffee pot, and we had to get new cards for entry twice.

Just my wife & I, traveling through Alpine, and needed a room for the night. It wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't the most high-class either. Our room was clean, as was the bathroom. The bed was fairly comfortable, and the TV worked... so all-in-all, not bad. There is no coffee in the room, for the morning (in fact, none anywhere in the place), but we found a nice coffee shop a short drive away ("Vise Coffee"). Others have complained about the check-in process (which is done at the diner across the lot), however our check-in was very easy, and we ended up grabbing a bite-to-eat there too. There are several other options for lodging in Alpine, but based upon cost, this one wasn't that bad, so I'd probably stay there again.

Registration was at the diner next door. They would not let us register until 3 pm, even though it was already after 2 pm. We decided to eat while we were waiting, but after waiting 20 minutes and seeing that they did not even start our order, we cancelled. The diner did not seem all that well organized.

There is essentially no front desk to greet you. You have to enter the diner in the parking lot to register and get keys. So you take second to the diners. You enter the hotel through what looks like a breakfast area it is the staff lounge, which was dirty. No breakfast is included with the stay. Nothing provided in the hotel to clue you in to the area. Finally the bathtub floor was filled with what appeared to be soap scum near the drain end of the tub. I didn’t feel comfortable using the shower. Wouldn’t stay again. Go to Holiday Inn!
