The manager and kitchen staff was very rude, well only to the African Americans. There are alot of surprise charges that are not mention until you reach the property. Like 8 for a bottle of smart water.

The only real complaint we had was they charge a daily “resort fee” , which is a bit ridiculous being it is basically a hotel . They also charged a daily parking fee which we had no knowledge of until check in . If we had that information prior to making the reservation, it may have changed our choice since it significantly increased the cost of our stay.

Cute resort on the ocean with tiki bar. Also has a pool in the back. Clean rooms. Updated enough bathrooms. Has a restaurant/bar inside and a taco truck by the tiki bar. Beds were comfy. Rooms by the pool can be a bit loud. The pool area could use a little updating. Also has a little gift shop and convenience store. Resort fees and parking fees.

Always a great stay….

I have been going to this location for almost 30 years, since it was the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort. It is always excellent. Every staff member we encountered was top notch. The location can’t be beat. You walk to the back of the property and you are on the beach. Depending on which room you select, you can walk out of your room and be on the beach or in the pool. Everything you need is right here. Destin is just a few miles away, across the bay bridge. I do have one complaint. The water in the grotto pool was so cold, that we couldn’t swim in it. We tried, and we just couldn’t stay in the cold water. Some people were swimming, so apparently it didn’t bother them. I heard other people leaving the grotto pool and going to the other smaller pool because the water was so cold. Other than that, I have no complaints and will continue to stay here.

This property was nice and trying hard to be a family resort. It was clean and the rooms were clean. The water pressure is not good and they only have rain shower heads. When you reserve online be careful because they're several add on charges at this hotel. Parking 15 day. Reaort fee 29 day. So many taxes like resort tax. Bar tax. State tax of course but a tax for using the barcon top of resort taxes.....crazy. its not a fancy place but ifbyou have kids. They will love it.

The floors were filthy. We saw spiders, June bugs and a big roach in our room. The AC unit is so outdated. I was overall very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. Pros: liked the activities and easy access to beach.

Weekend Getaway in Fort Walton

My husband and I had a fantastic weekend! Loved the waterfall pool, it was cold but refreshing, the heated pool, hot tub and fantastic beach! The room itself was nice. The frills were outside! Taking a walk through the resort was nice gardens and small soothing waterfalls! They had several bars, restaurant, food truck and the food was pretty good too!
