Very kind and knowledgeable staff. Provided travel recommendations, were very knowledgeable about whiskey. Beautiful property, artwork and decorations.
Beautiful setting, Scottish feel to the rooms and bar. The staff was really nice. The unusually warm weather made the sleeping unbearable. We purchased a fan the following day which helped.
Our experience at Creag Mhor Lodge was the best experience we had during a five-stop, two week trip to Scotland and Ireland. The view from room 10, much the same as the view from the lounge, was amazing. We wish we could have stayed longer. The best part of our experience was how we were treated. The owners are present and involved and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. We particularly appreciated Lorna, as she welcomed us and treated us with kindness and warmth the entire time.
Beautiful property in an amazing area. Room was spacious with a gorgeous view of the loch. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lounge is very comfortable and inviting. Staff were remarkably knowledgeable and helpful picking out whiskeys to try.
The foods menu provided has a simple choice unfortunately it didn't suit our palate. Bed has particular fine balance of firmness and buoyance. There were a couple of finer things can be better but then it would be nit picking.
Our night in Creag Mhor Lodge wrapped up our week long trip in the Highlands and it was a great way to end the trip. The service was warm and helpful, breakfast was lovely and the room was really spacious and comfortable.
Wonderful lodge. Accommodations were comfortable, everything from the room, the lounge, the dining room was so beautifully and tastefully done. Breakfast and parking were convenient as well.
Beautiful location. Very friendly staff, lovely bedroom, lovely ensuite with walk-in shower. Wonderful bar area with really pretty seating for quite a few people - tastefully arranged. The bar had a large variety of whiskies and the staff knew what she was talking about and introduced us to new distilleries based on our preferences. - we enjoyed our stay with this lodge.

This is advertised as a four star hotel but it's really about 2 1/2. They have a nice sitting room and a bar but very limited dining options, and it's not really within walking distance of any place other than a gas station.
Also, the water pressure is awful--it's like taking a shower with a water fountain. They do have a notice in the bathoom that says something like "our building is old and we want to preserve that so the water pressure isn't very good". But they should put that on their website.
Also, many of the rooms (including mine) are right next to a busy highway--difficult to sleep. And, while the check-in clerk was pleasant, the manager was very rude.
We recently stayed at Creag Mhor Lodge during a road trip through the Scottish Highlands, and it was easily one of the most memorable parts of the journey. The lodge itself is full of charm—an elegant, historic building with stunning views of Loch Linnhe right from the front door. If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful, scenic, and authentically Highland then this is the perfect place. I’d return in a heartbeat.
This is a lovely property! The staff is friendly and so helpful. They take extra precautions for safety which my police husband appreciated. Even if this area is already very safe. The parlor is absolutely stunning. We loved the breakfasts which were nutritious and delicious to get us ready for day long hikes. Thank you staff at Craeg Mhor. We hope the puzzle got finished!
On our roadtrip around Scotland, this lodge was an oasis. The staff was amazing, the whisky bar was fantastic, the location and views absolutely awesome. We wish we could have stayed longer.
My husband and I were at Creag Mhor for the third time in 8 years. The owners are extremely welcoming, and offer their hospitality by way of a peaceful retreat in a relaxed, elegant environment. As we were checking out, I learned that they were short staffed. We had no idea, as everything ran like clockwork, and the owners and staff were a highly efficient team. We hope to be able to come back a forth time.
