Difficuly parking had to drive around 3 times to find a space. Front of the hotel closed off for work being done had to come in a side door snd through the restaurant. Very dated hotel i sat on a leather sofa on the reception area and it was sticky to touch. Rooms were very dated. Black stuff in the bath, looked like someone had tried clean it bit not well enough . Hairdryer from the 1960's felt like it was going to blow. Had to call a dentist as we had an emergency, called the number on the hotel information book in the room. The dentist had retired 4 years ago. I woke him up.

Avoid at all costs!

When we arrived the receptionist ask to pay before receiving keys. The room looks nothing like the one depicted in the advertising on the website or on the pictures on Hotels.com, total fraud. The room faced the rear of a restaurant where the garbage bins are and where the employees smoke and talk loudly all night. The beds had old and caved mattresses. The shower was not working. We got instructions to open the tap water in order to get some pump working and wait till water got to the shower. Then water was cold. Food looked bad and one of us got a long Curley hair in the fried eggs. We left breakfast (paid for) to another place. Painful experience all around.

Our first room we were assigned smelled poorly so we requested a refund and was offered a different room. the next room was fine but the pillows were unsupportive and the bathroom sink had trouble draining.

The building is older and a remodel was attempted. There is no lift so be able to carry your bags. The room was hot and when the window was opened there was no screen and it opened into a road with trash bins. The beds and linens were clean and in good condition. The parking is limited. We did not try the onsite dinner or bar.

Lovely hotel near center of village

Nice hotel just near the High Street. nice bar. We had a very large room with a large, comfortable bed. Couldn’t figure out how to start the Jacuzzi, which was a downside, and the absence if a real shower was somewhat odd these days. I do recommend the hotel as clean and orderly.

This hotel is convenient to the train station and the main street with the restaurants and pubs. It is a nice hotel, a little tired. But perfect for our one night stay. The pubs and restaurants were nice and easy to get to.

Comfortable stay with friendly staff

Extremely helpful reception staff when it came to assisting with parking and providing information about the hotel - even organised someone to assist with luggage. Breakfast was very good.
