Location on the loch is nice. Staff unfriendly. Place is old.. safety concerns. .lights flicker when turned on. Doors bang with any breeze. Breaking in?
Its a bit tired now but still a handsome building.
Views are amazing, breakfast was good.
Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional.
Good value for the money.

Disliked: Amenities
Tiniest double bed I have experienced in a long time. Hotel staff were expedient and responsive but warmth was lacking. Lovely view out to the water from picture windows in dining room obscured by coach parking right in front. Coaches could have been located at the other end of the parking area without compromising any viewpoint. Table in room was unstable and maintenance person came to room with screwdriver and proceeded to dismantle it. They could have taken away and given us one from another room while they worked on it. It was still unstable. Our stay was fine but hotel is tired and uninspiring.

The location of the hotel is what makes the property special.
The room was average and the staff were nice.
No soap in the washroom was gross though.
Hotel is very dated.
Our room smelled very strongly of damp. The floor was unbelievably creaky. We were top floor and felt awful even walking to toilet due to the noise. Could even hear nextdoor’s floor through the walls. Felt every single spring in the bed so had the worst night sleep. Only one socket in the entire room so charging was a nightmare.
At breakfast even though we were down half an hour earlier than finish there was barely any food out. It was not filled up. So ended up with a poor breakfast.
We paid £182 for a night. Very disappointing.
The property was a fine place to drop your bags and get a good night's sleep, but it wasn't special. The hotel is dated, but parts have been redone in recent years. The staff was nice and there is a bar and restaurant on the premises (which we didn't go to), but it's not walking distance to any Fort Williams activities. It does have a nice view of the Loch. Great as a way station on your journey, but not for a long stay.

The Hotel is in agood location, enough parking and offers good views. The rooms are small which is doable, what we did not like was the bed, extremely uncomfortable. Its good to be bespoke, charming and unique but it always comes down to the bed.

The staff were great but there was a chip, smattie and weapper under the bed when we moved it slightly.
Price was right but you get what you pay for. Building is old, location is 2km out of town. Beds were terrible and bathroom was very run down. Pillows were about as thick as a pizza box. Worst sleep of our trip there. We arrived at 2:45 and I approached the reception and before I could even get the words out I was greeted with “I’m sorry you won’t be able to check in until 3”. So we sat down for about 12 minutes and then got up and went back over.
The only positive about this hotel is that it is dog friendly. They have some balls charging over £200 a room considering the state of them. Black mould all over the bathroom, paint on the floor, bleach stains on the furniture, wallpaper peeling off the walls and the mirror covered in marks and cracks.
Breakfast was a complete joke. Only 2 members of staff on so had a long wait to be seated. We went at 8.30 and most things had been finished despite breakfast being on till 9. 3 bits of bread left, a cereal bowl of scrambled eggs, no apple or orange juice left and noone checking to refill.
Avoid at all costs. If I hadnt been so tired from the drive I would have compleined and requested a refund. Total dissappintment as nothing like the photos. Shameful charging what they do.
