Perfect for a quick trip
Really nice and quiet newer hotel. Was a little concerned seeing broken tempered glass in the parking lot ( a sure sign of a break-in) but the lot was never full and there was plenty of parking. A great hotel for a great price- close to downtown without downtown prices and lack of parking. Ride shares to downtown were $7-15 versus parking of $10/hr. The only downside of the room- despite having a king bed, there were 4 hangers and no closet or drawers, so we had to live out of the suitcase.

The room I stayed in was comfortable overall, but the walls were quite thin, so I could hear sounds from the neighboring rooms, which made it hard to sleep at times. Additionally, the curtains weren’t blackout, so the room was a bit bright in the mornings. A few small improvements could make the experience much better.

Terrific hotel choice!
We were in town for a college football game and chose Avid downtown due to location to the Stockyards and TCU. Cost was a big factor and Avid was very affordable. The hotel looked very nice on the Hotels.com site. Upon arrival, after an exhausting day, we were welcomed pleasantly by the desk attendant. She was polite and thorough. The hotel presented very well. Very clean and organized lobby with several areas to gather. We ended up in one of the lobby areas to watch football along with another guest couple. It was fun! The room was perfect and we enjoyed the breakfast. There were healthy choices and the kitchen team were efficiently resupplying the food the whole time. The parking was great, the checkout was easy, and the neighborhood was safe. I would stay again, wothout hesitation.

Very new, built 2024, still feels like new construction. Modern, bright and basic, but has everything you need. Rooms and all facilities were spotless. Fitness room was spotless, had clean towels, water fill station. We didn’t use the indoor pool. Freshly ground coffee 24hrs in lobby was really aromatic and awesome. Breakfast was great - individually wrapped sausage biscuit sandwiches, premade wrapped omelettes were okay, peeled boiled eggs, yogurts, oatmeal, breads, fruit, etc.
