A great anniversary trip

My husband and I went to Fort Worth for our anniversary to the rodeo. This hotel is very convenient to the stockyards. Joel, who was at the Front Desk, worked very hard to make check-in a pleasure. We got the suite with jetted tub. The room was spacious and the tub was fantastic. They had shampoo and conditioner separate for the tub and big, thick towels. There was a large shower for my husband. The bathroom also had a large bottle of lotion which we appreciated. There was an evening reception which I'd never seen a hotel do before, offering complimentary alcohol, soda, and snacks. The breakfast was wonderful with eggs cooked any way you want them, even with made-to-order ometlettes. The hotel has a valet service which I don't love, but they made it very easy to get our car back when we needed it. overall, this hotel was a good find and I would recommend it for anyone looking to take an anniversary trip to Fort Worth.

Before we even entered the building we could smell the disgusting odor coming from their "water wall feature", which was broken and not running. All of the furniture in our room was old, dated, ripped/worn. The mattress sank in the middle, so all night I felt like I was falling and my husband and I kept rolling onto each other (NOT in a fun way!) I will NOT be staying at an Embassy Suites again.

It was a decent trip but less than what was expected given it was a birthday trip for the misses. Evening reception was pretty good; 2 free drinks but the bartender was not very pleasant. Iron was defected and took 20 mins fully turn on. Bathroom architecture was not ideal and very small.

Staff was very nice. Location was good for shopping, entertainment, and dining. Not exactly quiet but thats not the hotels fault. I feel like people were racing in the parking garage next door. Beds were comfy and clean.

All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The front desk guy Nico and the other employee on duty at the front desk, on afternoon and evening of 5/14, were OUTSTANDING AND WONDERFUL with helpfulness, dining recommendations, and assisting with a lost (and found) matter. Give those 2 a bonus!
