the room could have been dusted a bit more...we loved the view but wished that it was made clear our balcony wasnt private it was shared...also the common kitchenette area had left over food from new years in the fridge and no coffee maker or coffee cups..also it was so cold in dfw ..we got back to our room for dinner and didnt know the heat wasnt on so it took awhile for it to kick on could have used some more pillows but with no staff i didnt know how to get more. overall the stay was good views were amazing! its a decent location with stuff in walkin distance. neat experience.
When visiting family in Fort Worth we wanted to test out Hotel Revel located in the hospital/near south side district because of its convenient location. Our experience was a bit underwhelming as finding information required some hunting or follow up directly with customer service. For example, you have to reach out to give the rep your car license plate number or else you will get fined/ticketed.
Overall the room was pretty clean minus a mark on the linens and a lot of dust in the bathroom intake. I think what surprised us the most was the lack of table lamps on side tables, the HVAC had not been turned on (64 degrees when we walked in on an evening it was 40s and rainy outside), and that some things needed functional repairs (e.g., luckily we travel with some small tools to adjust the shower head so we didn’t have to hold it the whole time, but couldn’t fix the tv mount). We were able to get the room warm (make sure the on/off button glows green) and the bed was comfortable (3 standard pillows for a king size bed is also surprising), and our things and car were safe. I think they are aiming for a more minimalist luxury experience than what the hotel can currently provide and hope with some basics support they can improve.
I had read previous reviews, so I knew there was going to be something weird about check in. You have to get an app to get your room key, which was no big deal to me...but I can see an older person losing their mind over it. There are no hand towels at all in the rooms, when I was trying to call housekeeping, I had to call the toll free number to get ahold of anyone there...not easy. There was LITERALLY ONE GUY at the hotel doing check in, housekeeping and bartending. He was so super nice & honestly doing a great job, but that's ridiculous on a weekend night.
There was a short, curly black hair on the white comforter 1st things when we walked in. The noise from neighbors was UNBEARABLE and we left at 6:30a to get home & finally get some sleep. Bar & staff were nice but the furnishings felt prison-like, everything was welded to the wall. It was odd & certainly my last stay here.
Won’t stay again honestly. Pillows were crap. Bed was spring and not comfortable. No full length mirrors… honestly kinda like the ikea of hotels. Bare minimum effort.
Also. We had a light that flickered the whole night. So that was fun. Just not worth the money.
There was no one working there. Couldn’t get toilet paper that had run out. No one at the front desk? Minimal service concept. Very cold and sterile. Metal and concrete. Would not recommend

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
The property could easily be 4 starts but there were several maintenance items that need to be fixed. There seemed to be lack of care for the property.
Very modern and cool looking hotel. Staff were very helpful upon arrival. Its convenient for hospitals and dining.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room was not as pictured. It was mostly stripped of all the little pops of color on the shelves, night table lamps, and had only 3 small pillows on the bed. That made the room feel very empty and sterile with no life. Bring ear plugs because sound travels well in this concrete, industrious room. The staff member Shelton was very hospitable and handled everything, checking in wise, we needed. Overall a cute place but not up to the aesthetics the pictures portray.

Noisy, need better black out curtains. It was clean and pretty comfortable
I know that person-less services are on the rise, but not having anyone at the hotel is an issue. I’m low maintenance, but what if I needed more towels, pillows, toiletries, blanket, etc? No one there between 8 pm and 9 am is an issue. Zero people presence is not something we should accept.
I love the property and the staff! I hate how thin the walls are. If you have a long day the next day I wouldn’t recommend this is a place to get good sleep, but overall a great stay!
