We have stayed at red roof and over the last few years traveling and never had an issue of feeling unsafe. We were terrified to stay there because you could see through the door jam all the way around at the light coming through and the locks not fully going into the door frame. The window you could shake, and it felt like it would just fall right out. The photos online must’ve Been taken up close so that you can’t see any of the flaws of the room. There were stains on the Bedspread. Outside was unclean and terrifying. The first red flag was when the staff at the desk asked for a $50 cash deposit and told us it was because they were having a hard time refunding peoples deposits. We should’ve left right then, But we gave them the benefit of the doubt. After deciding not to stay there because we were afraid of not waking up the next day or being robbed in our own room, we called Travelocity and they told us to go to the front desk and tell them that we were to refund our money. Could not give us a business card or any number for the managerial staff because he claimed not to know it. I have never been so disappointed and terrified to be at a hotel that you should be able to trust the quality of their service, and rooms. A full refund should be submitted and they should be removed from the Travelocity site so that other travelers do not have to go through this Horrific experience while trying to enjoy your vacation.
