I love the ambiance of the property, that’s what drew me to stockyards. The rodeo was AWSOME to experience and all the local shops and great restaurants. Especially during the holidays makes it twice as exciting. The staff was also very professional and inviting. I definitely want to go back and stay at the stockyard hotel

The Stockyards hotel is historical and is western themed throughout the hotel. The gift shop is no longer there but there are plenty of gift shops nearby. Easy walk down the stockyard main drag. The only downside is valet parking which is about 6 blocks away. You have to time when they close down the street so you can get off the Main Street.

Great Location
We stayed over Thanksgiving to attend the Dallas Cowboy’s game. The Stockyard area is really fun and lots to do. The Stockyards Hotel is in such a great location. We have stayed at many older hotels and this is one of our favorites. Will definitely return!!

Hotel staff is excellent. Hotel is dated very dated. It was not cleaned well at all . There was hair on the bed and the room was dirty restaurant was great. Great location.

The property is extremely outdated. All night long if any riom next to us ran water or flushed toilet or ran water it would be so loud in our room. Room stunk and smelled like ben gay from something they cleaned with. EXTREMELY LOUD. We paid over $600 a night and it was so loud that you could not sleep until well after 3 am. I suppose when you enter your room and the first thing you see is ear plugs that they are providing then you should know that trouble lies ahead. The room was dirty and was one of the absolute worst hotel rooms that we have ever stayed in. I would not pay $100 a night for it if i had seen it prior to staying.

You pay for the location. Depending on how important "walkable is to you, the cost for this type of hotel could be worth it to you. In a different location I would give this hotel a 2-3 star.

Lobby and room furniture needs to be updated but maintain the historic western look. Room bathrooms need to be renovated. However, the location is great and the staff and valet company were very friendly and helpful.
