The hotel is not a 4 star as stated. Conditions is very poor. Someone entered our room whilst we were in bed. The location isn’t safe it’s in the centre of the red light district. Even during the day it’s unsafe with lots of people hanging around the street high on drugs. I wouldn’t recommend.

Para ser un 4 estrellas no está a la altura, habitacion pequeña, desperfectos suelo pasillo por no hablar de la zona rodeado de sexshops y puticlubs, tema q hoteles.com podría indicar...ese tema genera mucho ruido y las ventanas del hotel no están insonorizadas..bastante decepcionante insisto para ser un 4 estrellas

The surrounding area is the red light district of Frankfurt. Leaving the hotel I witnessed a drug deal and got screamed at or approached by beggars every time. I've never felt more unsafe in a city. The hotel itself is okay. The staff are nice enough but there's a serious lack of security at the front desk. For example, our key stopped working so we asked for them to reboot it and they didn't check ID or anything and when our bags were behind the desk and we came to get them they basically just said 'take whatever bags you want' with no way to check who's bag belongs to who. The rooms have the bare minimum amenities and the shower was a bit gross.

These hotel itself is very nice and so are the staff. The problem is the location or rather the people who hang around the streets in this location. I am a solo traveler so I wasn't too concerned but it may be concerning to others. The AC did not work, probably because the hotel had isolated it due to the cool temperature outside but the street noise was too great to leave a window open.

the 2 -3 blocks of franfkrut sourrounded by drug addits and right next what is called red light district. walking 2 blocks from the train station was extreemly uncomfortable. hotel wise - well at fairs not much to choose, however due to the area they do not seem to maintain the hotel to 4* rating technically (bathrooms, corridors etc) . breakfast quite ok however it should NOT be advertised as business traveler destination

Location:The Grand Hotel Downtown is situated in a red-light district, an area known for prostitution and drug activity. This location is highly unsuitable for families and raises significant safety concerns, particularly at night. Safety:Given the neighborhood's reputation, it is unsafe to go out, especially after dark. This could be a major concern for guests, affecting their overall comfort and security. Amenities:The hotel is conveniently located near many restaurants and grocery stores, which is a positive aspect. Its proximity to the central station also makes commuting easy. Hotel Experience: Staff: The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms: Rooms are spacious but lack air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable during summer. Towels: Towels are old and in need of replacement. Beds: The beds are comfortable. Housekeeping: Housekeeping services are good. Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi is reliable and performs well. Cleanliness: The hotel’s cleanliness is above average. Breakfast: The buffet breakfast offers a good variety for €12.
