Hotel was fine for a few nights. I was expecting it to be better based on the reviews. The rooms were big and the clean there were just a few things that I feel could have been better. The curtains in my room didn’t cover the whole window. The room was facing into the back of the hotel and there seemed to be construction going on and huge bright lights were on all night so made my room quite light. I also found the hotel to be quite loud both from other guests and also outside noise, even with the windows closed. There were no instructions on how to use the safe and if you try 3 times it locks it (which I wasn’t aware of) so I went to ask reception if someone could unlock it for me but no one ever came. Would have been nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room. Location was good for the Xmas markets. Wouldn’t stay again? Probably not, I think I could get a better hotel for the same price.

Centrally located, walking distance to main attractions and old town. Hotel is in good condition, shower is great, plenty of hot water. Beds are comfortable but be aware that if you asked for a double bed you will get 2 singles attached with individual bedding for each. Staff were very helpful.

Comfortable and Accessible w/ a Great Location
We had a long layover in Frankfurt and chose Schopenhauer b/c of its location, easy access to and from the airport, and affordability. The view from our room was so beautiful that we wished for a flight delay/cancellation so we could stay longer. Our room was clean and spacious. The location couldn't be beat: right next to the river and a short walk to all of the main landmarks and attractions, including the Christmas market in Romerberg.

Excellent location! A very short walk to the Christmas Markets. Beautiful view of the Main River from our room. Short walk from the S/U Bahn. Room and bathroom were basic but a nice size, clean and comfortable. Staff was welcoming and helpful. A good value by European standards.

The property was convenient: however, the checkin staff was rude and I speak basic German but they refused to repeat things when asked. One of the towels in the bathroom looked like a literal rag. Overall, the stay was fine and the facilities (breakfast and such) were good.

The location was prime. Walking distance to the center and the Christmas markets. Safe environment. Breakfast buffet was good. The phone never worked, the safe didn’t work although they fixed it twice. The rooms could use some updating. Good experience over all.

Good hotel in a decent location. Nice big room. Bathroom/shower the only real black mark. No shampoo, just a liquid soap without a proper dispenser/shelf to even stand it on inside shower. Luggage storage also a concern with no real system or security for bags.

The rooms are a good size and ours looked the smaller of the rooms. Clean an comfortable. Slight down side though, if you are on the 1st floor you could be overlooking a smoking area. It was ok in October as no one used it but if it's summer there could be a lot of noise and you wouldn't be able to open the window. They also have really loud music 0laying in the lobby which you can sometimes hear. There is also a random buzzing sound which turns out to be the air being exchanged. Its actually quite loud and comes on for no apparent reason. Seems like the reception team are aware this is an issue but there isn't much they can do about it. If you are hoping for a river view make sure you will need to make sure pick the right one when booking. The area is good and close to everywhere so it's super convenient.
