There's good and bad

You won't find a more convenient place to stay in the airport (except the Marriott that's literally right next to it) Frankfurt airport is massive and this hotel is right up the escalator and a 3 minute walk inside the airport right, after the baggage claim in terminal one. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean ( although I wish someone would explain to me why Europeans don't put locks on their bathroom doors). There is one major flaw. If you get a room with a locked but adjoining door ( like I did on the 9th floor) you shouldn't assume that you'll get any sleep whatsoever. It's literally like sharing a room! You hear every single noise clearly and loud! Maybe it's an acoustic thing - I don't know. But I didn't get a wink of sleep because of the noise from my "roommates". They weren't even that loud - they were talking in their normal voices and doing things like zipping and moving their luggage around and it felt and sounded like they were in the room with me! I've been in hotel rooms with locked adjoining doors in the past but never had an experience as bad as this. I can only assume that they have only one door instead of two and that the door is cheap and not soundproof. Anyway, it completely ruined my experience.
