We stayed here from March 14 th to March 22. We booked 2 rooms and the stay was awesome. It was right at the city center. The staff was so attentive and very courteous and friendly. The rooms were spacious, neat and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was awesome.

I was scammed when riding a car from airport to Urban Elephant Hotel. I was over charged more than US$2500 for a ride. I requested the hotel to provide the video of the hotel front door. This video is to catch the car license plate and the driver at the time of my arrival at the hotel. So that I can report to police and to my bank as a proof of scamming. It has been 10 days so far, Urban Elephant Hotel does not provide video and I am being ignored. I receive no communication of the status. Are they conspired with the scammer?

Great place to stay in Cape Town

The Hote's location is very good. Walking distance from some bars and restaurants. The room was very spacious and beautiful. There is however is problem with the water system of the hotel. We stayed in Room 808 and the sound of running water through the pipes were so loud, that they had to move us at 04:00 in the morning to another room, because we could not tolerate the sound anymore. We were moved to room 812. Although we could still hear the water running through the pipes, it was not as loud when you closed the bathroom door. The buffet breakfast was very good, but it would have been nice if the waiter informed us of the menu where we could also order from. I would stay there again just on a different floor.
