I stayed at this Beat Western 4/11/25. The front desk staff was lovely and welcoming. Sadly the room had much to be desired. It definitely needed an update. It was as clean as possible but the carpet was gross and whatever updates were made were done with very poor quality. The bed was very uncomfortable and had lots of divots. I also had to lean all my 120 lbs of body weight onto the front door to get it to close. After driving 15 hours I just wanted to sleep and there was a lot of noise with people running and yelling up and down the outside walkway. Glad I was only there 10 hours.

The room was badly in need of an update. The walls are mustard yellow, the bathroom door didn’t latch, the shower controls look 30 years old and were very hard to control the temperature with, etc. But we were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the breakfast. It was great! Eggs made to order, fresh veggies for omelettes, a big spread of fresh fruit and berries, really exceptional! I’d recommend staying if you don’t care what the room looks like.

The staff were great, very friendly and attentive. It is an older motel, and is showing its age, but provided a good place to sleep and is close to everything in Fredericksburg.

The gentleman working at the front desk was fantastic! The only problem we had was that the people in the room next to us were very noisy. Additionally they were out in front of their room smoking on the balcony and the smoke can right into our room.

Pet friendly Area to walk dog and quiet neighborhood behind the property. Parking is right outside the first floor bedrooms so can be noisy if other guests are inconsiderate. Close to Rt 95 and nice Mexican restaurant a short waking distance from the property. Generous helpings. Lots of other eating options. Would stay again.

Paper thin walls.

“Dog friendly” but paper thin walls so every time we moved the dogs next door went into a barking frenzy. Our dog would start but stopped when told to. Theirs would not. All dogs grouped in successive rooms so it was awful.
