Great location and view, but in decline

Great view, patio, and pool bar. Rooms are aging, and service not what it used to be. Surprise parking charge at checkout. Steaks were really not good at all at the restaurant.

They are reconstructing the parking lot, in stages. This means that half the front of the hotel is very dusty and dirty. One has to navigate around to avoid the front entrance. After 2 days in the "overflow" lot, my car was covered with dust. I had it washed and management, without any debate, removed the $40 parking fees (the wash was $15 plus my time). Nice recovery. I have stayed at the Delta Fredericton many times over the years. It took many years but the hotel renovations are basically completed. I miss "Dalton Camp's Bar" replaced by a wide open and noisy lobby bar but I guess at is progress. I had guests join us for a great dinner on the outside deck. Great service and location. Only issue was the "kiddy" low toilets.

There was no bellboy service for luggage. We didn’t have a phone in our room to call the front desk. The thermostat broke down and was blasting so much cold air I got sick. The staff was very helpful. Also our room never got cleaned. Luckily they comped 2 of our meals as a result.
