Stayed here many times around the pool area and rooms were typically nice and in good shape. This is not and never will be a luxury motel i understand. This time i got the back rooms whis had a weird musty smell, tub bottom severly cracked and stained. Needed a remodel a ling time ago. If i come back will ask to be in a poolside room as wint accept the other next time

Cute Lil Spot

Super cute lil spot. Only about 30-40 minute drive to Sequoia National Park. Would definitely stay here again. Nice location, close to shops. Looks vintage on the outside but nice and remodeled on the inside.

The receptionist who checked me in talked me into paying for an additional day and he knew I had someone with me I wasn’t in the room for 5 min when he had come knocking on the door to tell me that she couldn’t stay then when I left to take her home and came back I was locked out then I’ve tried to get my $490 back or at least part of it all the staff get extremely rude with me and I’ve stayed there multiple times before

Not thrilled with the new Lamp Liter : /

The Lamp Liter used to be my favorite place to stay in the area but they are under new ownership and I’m honestly not impressed. There were no lounge chairs by the pool which is very surprising to me considering it is summer time and in the high 90s/low 100s. I went out bought my own lounge chair so I could enjoy the pool area (the pool is the only amenity at this place) only to then have to leave to pool area because I had a dog on a leash laying next to me. I called ahead of time to ensure I could bring a dog and was never told the dog wouldn’t be allowed in the pool area at all. Very disappointing as I was traveling with my mom and was hoping to enjoy a pool day with her.

The renovated rooms like room 217 are terrific. The older in-renovated rooms not so good. Ask for a renovated room. The swimming pool is lovely.

The property value was budget friendly , a bit outdated but clean and functional. The Staff was excellent at addressing my concerns and accommodation. There was a homeless man digging tru the dumpster the morning we were leaving but he didn’t bother us at all . I was feeling unwell from a previous stay at the beach and came down with a nasty cold . We were booked for 4 nights but I couldn’t go on any longer than the one night we stayed . We do plan to return to finish our trips plans in the future . The Manager was very nice about refunding our unused nights and that’s why we will be back .

I thought I read there was a restaurant here, but I can not find one. The room is very modern and clean. I loved not only the microwave but also the big refrigerator with freezer. A pleasant surprise is they have 2 plates,2 large bowls and glasses etc..The only thing I have issue with is the TV. Everytime I change the channel It asks me to set the time. I can not figure out how to do it and would love to have some type of guide.

When I made my reservation I was assigned a room number. I got to the hotel around 10am just to let them know that I was checking in late, around 7pm. The person at the counter toll me that there was no problem, they would have my room ready. When I when back and check in they gave me a different room. The room bathroom and bed were clean but the carpet was cover with dirty spots everywhere, seems like they gave me the dogs room or someone with an illness was living there. Do not know the reason why they gave me that room.

Ok basic room for the low price. AC was not on when we arrived so it was over 100 degrees at 8:00 and it was a small AC unit so it was miserable for first few hrs and hard to fall asleep for the family. Bed was comfortable after AC kicked in and bathroom was clean. Rooms need updating but cool retro motel! Safe place and appreciate they allow dogs.
