Great for the money
I wish I could have given five stars, it was a great value for the money. The room was very clean and well maintained. The staff was efficient and friendly. It appears from first glance that this is a budget hotel.. and in some ways it is. But this is a big step up from other cheaper hotels. I thought the bed was comfy, the wife didn't like the springs that creaked when you moved and felt the mattress was breaking down on the edge. It was fine for one night. The pillows, my most common complaint at most places, were just fine. The reason I can't give five stars is the noise.. which others have commented about. We had a room on the back side which cut down on the traffic noise.. but when someone walked in the room above it was like being inside a bass drum... You could also hear people talking thru the walls. The place had everything you need but not a lot of frills.. and was priced well. Would stay again.

The entire room was covered in sand. After requesting it to be cleaned, we discovered the source: the AC unit was spewing sand directly onto the bed. When we moved the bed, we even found a yellow scorpion underneath. While a bit of sand might be understandable in certain environments, having an AC blow sand inside the room is unacceptable and clearly points to poor maintenance. Pay a US$160 PER NIGHT in a place like that is a disrespect.

Wood definitely book another stay here.

This was a nice stay but the beds were not the most comfortable and they should be replaced soon. They were squeaky and I could feel the springs. There were also dead bees all over the hallway to our room. Perhaps there was a hive in the eaves of the walkway… Anyhow, there is a lovely local eatery directly outside, Apple Annie’s or something like that. We went there for breakfast and it was fabulous and it was very nice that we could walk there from the room in a minute or two. For the price, though, a great value and worth a stay.

The front desk people were very friendly. They were all very helpful with suggestions of where to eat and directions for places to go. Especially Katrina. Even had water jars with cold lemon water in the lobby. Very nice touch. The breakfasts were very good. Something for everyone. Pool was more than refreshing and th shaded tables were a welcome escape from the sun. Very enjoyable stay. I will recommend it.
