The Vine was an excellent hotel in a great location. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would particularly highlight Hermes, Carmo, Bernardo and Jorges in the bar, the restaurant and at breakfast. It was a shame that my room upgrade was not available but the room we had was still nice. The Vine is easy walking distance to the harbour, the old town and multiple restaurants. The rooftop pool, bar and restaurant are also a fantastic place to spend time.

Wow! Property is beautiful, but the service was incredible! The team there DEFINITELY deserves the previous awards they’ve won! I’ve only stayed at one other property in my entire 57 years that I would say might be comparable to the service we received at the Vine! It made our trip! THANK YOU!

Truly Impressive Stay! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning architecture — the design is both elegant and inviting. The location couldn’t be more perfect, close to everything yet peaceful and relaxing. Our room (and the entire hotel) was spotless, with every detail carefully maintained. We have stayed at The Vine on numerous occasions now and we love it. The rooftop pool area is lovely and the food is really good. All the staff are friendly and really helpful and smiley. We had a junior suite this time which was spacious and the bed was super comfortable with beautiful linen. Great breakfast choice as well. One suggestion would be to get rid of the pebble flooring in the bathroom area, it is really uncomfortable to walk on.

As mentioned tovthe staff, ooms seem to be missing a light or two; they seem dark. I was told that was done by the designer. Seems odd especially with purplish colors on the wall. Also, the doors to the room close very slowly. Sunce my flight was later in the day, I did like that i could use the amenities and parking after my check out. Finally, i forgot to take a picture / mention to the staff, but there is some wall covering missing on the upper part of the wall in the bathroom. You can see the electrical when laying in the bed.

This is a very beautiful hotel but I’m afraid some aspects of the design (which has won multiple international awards) is a triumph of modern design over practicality. Our suite had an open plan bathroom with a bath in the middle of it with the bed behind separated by a glass screen. The space in the suite, what a very comfortable queen sized bed and large windows on 2 sides, was nonetheless poorly used. There was no sofa, but a very strange chair squeezed into the corner of the room. The location of the electric sockets was bizarre. The only way to use the coffee maker and kettle was by using a dusty extension lead that I found stuffed down the end of the bed. That said we had a good time.

The hotel is very nice and in a great location! The only thing that was a bit of a negative was the lack of hangers in the bathroom for towels etc which made it difficult to dry stuff. Other than that, a top hotel with super friendly stuff.

Lovely stay with a beautiful rooftop pool. I stayed here for the half marathon race and loved the cooler outside my room and refillable glass water bottle. Location is safe and walkable. To many restaurants and attractions in the city. Would certainly stay here again.
