They put me in a handicap room . It was late and didn’t notice until I went to the restroom about 1 am . Too late to change rooms . I could even get out of the shower because of the bench

Cleanliness? Carpet is discolored and forget about vaccumming around the bed frame. There was food on the carpet around the bed from the last 30 guests. Showers took 10 minutes to get hot water and a single drink at the bar cost me $27. It was convenient, but will definitely look for a different place to stay next time.

Next to UF Shands Hospital

We stayed in the hotel because my sister was in the hospital next to it. It was so convenient to stay there. There was a Golfcart shuttle service from the hotel to the hospital. The staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint was a terrible smell in the lobby, hallways and the elevator. It wasn’t as strong in the room. The smell was a chemical smell. It was overpowering at times.

Positives: 1. The hotel is part of Shands hospital grounds. 2. The hotel has a beautiful lined path leading to the hospital or they will shuttle back and forth. I actually like the walk to help clear my head from hospital to hotel and visa versa. 3. The staff members were accommodating. 4. The studio room was perfect size for my husband and I. 5. The food was good. Negatives: 1. Double charged for hotel but after speaking to front desk manager they fixed it. 2. The snack shop is over priced. 3. The bar area is mainly regular drinks. I tried to order a Margarita with an Orange liquor and Patron, no Orange flavor of any kind. Tried to order a frozen drink was told the did not have ingredients. My husband order a Long Island Ice Tea and they were out of Triple sec.

Much to like. But I've stayed 3x in the past 15 months, and they haven't addressed the reported problems. Broken Pelotons and small, unattended gym. Hallways smell like a locker room. New, unannounced charges at check-in. Charged me 3x the price they usually do, for a room 0.5 size of what I usually get, simply because they could. I signed on for that, assuming that at least they would be operating at a super high level to correspond with their crazily high pricing. That turned out not to be the case. They were simply price gouging but still operating like a small-time hotel. When I complained (at check-in and check-out) about the new charges, they passed the buck. Amber Mundle kicked my complaint upstairs. Kyle Fettig, an alleged manager that the clerks have never heard of, left me a voicemail and then has not returned calls. (Google his name + "hotel" to see other complaints.) I left a Google review and the "managers" responded with an AI-generated text. See attached picture. That's how much they care. Summary: On-site people are nice; management "team" in NY doesn't care and price-gouges. For their regular pricing I could have dealt with it. But for 3x their usual price and 0.5x their usual room size, they have to act like a luxury hotel-- and they do NOT. Pyramid Global, their management company, is ruining things for everyone.
