We stayed here instead of Gainesville because of the prices for alumni weekend at UF. The staff and housekeeper were amazing, but when we got to our room, it smelled like smoke (non smoking room), the bedside lampshade had a crack in it, paint on bathroom was peeling, and other general aesthetic issues. Just a suggestion that the property should invest in some cosmetic work.

Price was great but the hotel and room are not well maintained. Not visibly dirty but the smell and condition of things in the room gave the appearance of being dingy. Curtains don’t close and you can see people walk by. On a busy loud street and a lot of guest noise. Air/heat unit unsafe and smelled bad. I booked based on a 7.2 rating through Expedia. Great deal but. It is a 2 star out of 5 Star hotel max.

Easy convenient location, comfortable beds. Got a second floor room facing the pool, and it was fairly quiet. The main lobby reeks of old cigarettes, so that’s a bit unpleasant. The hotel offers free breakfast, which we did not try due to the odor in the lobby. The room was clean, showed some wear and tear, but I could tell they try to keep the place tidy.

We checked In and went to the room. The moment we opened the door we smelled a strong odor of mildew. It felt like the A.C. hadn’t been on in a long time. As we started to look around and check out the room we saw the curtains we covered in little black mold spots, which led us to inspect everything else. We saw mold covered the mattress’ underneath the sheets. We gathered our stuff and notified the staff. There was no apology or concern about the status of the room. They offered to give us another room, which I appreciated, but after the experience in the first room, I do not trust that any of the others would have been better. After this experience, I will NEVER stay at another quality Inn. Hands down the worst hotel experience.
