Online photos of this place are a little deceiving. They make it look modern. It's a little dated. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. You have to fill out a 'please make up our room' card in order to get any sort of daily service. We filled it out, and simply wanted towels changed out, but that wasn't done by the time we returned to the hotel at 3pm. The front desk was far from apologetic. Morning breakfast had the usual options, but was crowded, loud, and hectic beyond belief. The one positive with the entire stay was that the shower water pressure and volume was excellent. Everything else makes me question hotels.com rating for this place.

My experience was very good. Room was very clean and had all the essentials. Breakfast was great with nice varity of food offered. Dining area was very well kept with someone cleaning continually. All staff were welcoming and friendly. Only "complaint" is the short/low toilet in the room. I'm a tall older woman with not the best knees so that was not easy.

Nasty Whirlpool

Went for anniversary weekend so we got the whirlpool suite what a mistake. The whirlpool once we added the water it was clear as soon as we turned in the jets the water started to have a green tint and there was a yellowish brown scum line around it even before we were going to get in and the bubbles were brown. The pool area with the slide was nice.

The exterior did not look like the pictures, needed more maintenance. The caulk of the jetted tub needed was falling off. Property was okay but needs maintenance.

The rooms were so clean, large, well appointed and decorated. Pool area for families had water slides and a large deck area. Have an issue with many hotels installing the “ cheap” LOW toliets. Think about your demographics of who is staying at your hotels. It is not children! This property has a nice breakfast room and the rooms super. Just think that every area of the property needs to be top quality to receive an all 5 star rating. TV small and could have been larger. Send an employee outside to pull the weeds in the shrubbery beds pout side the front door. Also a good sweep of the cigarette filters lying around the chairs outside the entry. Maybe because this is a non smoking property the smokers go to this area. The parking lot needs to be resurfaced. Close to Galena and Dubuque and a quality Raddison hotel for a good room rate.

Very clean, safe place to stay while we moved our son to Dubuque. Hot tub was great to relax in. The only complaint I would have is the beds were really uncomfortable. Both my husband and I tossed and turned all night. New, comfortable mattresses and I’d definitely stay again!
