Great stay in driving distance from Galena.
We stay here every year for the Galena Halloween Parade. Hotel looks great after the renovation a few years ago.

Basic, but good room
The room was basic, but welcoming. I had chosen this hotel because of the fitness center. Unfortunately, this was a disappointment. There was only a few cardio machines without free weights. I was also hoping for a hot tub in addition to a pool.

The Hotel has pictures of a pool and hot tub on several websites, that's why we chose it only to find out they filled in the hot tub, they Don't have one. After we checked in we wanted to cancel because of that but the would not. Then we had bugs in the bathroom, had to sleep with lights on, told clerk showed him pictures of bugs but NO Discount for either!! Won't stay here!!! DISAPPOINTMENT!

It was a good value on a weekend night. in the morning the breakfast wasn’t ready and wasn’t great. We also experienced a lot of noise up until 7:30 at night due to maintenance needing to fix something next door to our room.

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding. It was reasonably priced and convenient to stay after the wedding. Staff friendly and professional. Clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again at the Country Inn & Suites!

I was initially concerned about staying here, as some of the other reviews were extremely critical. I almost stayed in a town 20m further from where I needed to be simply because of bad reviews! I'm so glad I decided to stay here. It was convenient, very clean, and the staff were helpful and kind. My room was, of course, a hotel room, but it was very clean, didn't smell weird, and was quiet. I slept like a baby. The bathroom was spacious and clean and everything worked really well--without those typical hotel-room oddities one has to discover the hard way. I only stayed one night, but I would happily stay here again.

Overall the stay was fine, but the staff is less than personable. The property/facility is very clean but the appearance is on the shabby side. Exterior could use paint and landscape maintenance. Would stay here again, but it doesn't look the best. Interior of room was excellent though, just the outside appearance is wanting.
