Property was beautiful and accommodating. We stayed at the end of the hallway near a side exit. Those doors could use a soft close mechanism, cuz the door slammed a lot as people went in and out and we could hear it very loud in our room. Sometimes in the middle of the night. Also, I tried to get coffee out of the coffee pots that were by the front desk and it was cold both times.

Liked the clean room and good amenities at the hotel. One night stay for fall colors and shopping. Would stay here again. Only issue was the fire alarm went off at 7 pm. The morning breakfast was not to my liking- watery powdered eggs, etc. Typical free fare so we went into Galena for better quality food.

Really nice stay!
Clean and quiet. Pictures on their website are truthful. Large property, beautiful pond in the back with wrap-around porch, comfy couches, tables and swings..all overlooking the pond. It was decorated for the Fall season which was really nice, too. The pool is large and jacuzzi is great and clean! Free breakfast was really good and we were surprised to have some hot food options! The only negative was that the toilet in the room's bathroom was small with a wobbly seat and the toilet in the pool's bathroom did not flush.

We enjoyed the hot breakfast. The swimming pool was very nice, the outside sitting area was also nice. Woke up to a person sawing outside our window on our last day. The bar was closed unexpectedly at 5pm when it was to open at that time. Last day there and we just wanted to have a relaxing drink. Person at front desk, female, not helpful in knowing the area. And this is Galena, IL.
