Such a nice hotel, they did a wonderful job, renovating it and keeping it original touch!! Great little restaurant, rooftop, hang out area, great pool, fun location, great place for a little weekend getaway highly recommended and will be coming back

Over night get away

This place is superb! Nice cozy place. The food and service top notch. Bartender upstairs was very friendly and very good. Its now one of my favorite places to visit in Galveston and that means alot as we frequent Galveston.

Charming, retro hotel - we loved it

Really cool refurbished property. Great retro feel with modern amentities. Very friendly staff, restaurant and multiple bars onsite. Really cool pool area and a fun, fresh design. Definitely seems geared towards adults (although we did see some kids in the pool). On the quieter end of the Galveston Seawall, so there were fewer restaurants within walking distance...but it was quieter and had a LOT less traffic than other hotels we've stayed at on the Seawall. We'll take that tradeoff any day of the week.

The service was exceptional. And although I no longer have a dog, I love that they are pet friendly with any size dog. The only negative, which is of no fault of anyone is that it can still be a little noisy. Woke up to a baby crying, other occupants’ entire conversations, and another room’s alarm going off. And if there is heavy traffic and maintenance going on you can still hear everything. So, I just put on my headphones. The evening was quiet. Room is comfortable. And still got a good night’s sleep. The location is great and the roof top bar offers great views.

Upscale for Galveston but missed on a couple point

Everything about the stay was great except for a couple interactions with hotel staff. I had a really unpleasant interaction with the housekeeping staff that was unnecessary and unprovoked. Billing with hotels.com was also unclear and I was billed an extra for resort fees and booking fees after the fact. A 1 night stay was over $300 which was not worth it.

Good spot. Cute decor. Clean. Bed was comfy. Room a bit sparse on storage but has most of what you need. People were nice, service good and great for quick eats, drinks. Music on the roof bar was fun. Definitely stay again.

Boutique hotel with nice common areas like lobby, bar and pool. It would be nice if the same attention was put into the rooms though. The rooms are quite small with no seating other than the bed and no where to hang wet suits and towels unless you had one of the few balcony rooms. I like that they keep some of the vintage feel but there are many signs of wear, especially in the bathroom. The rooms upstairs seem to be a bit bigger (we stayed downstairs and friends stayed upstairs).

Hands down the best hotel in Galveston! I booked this spot as a mini dog vacation for my boys, and everything exceeded expectations. The attention to detail and friendliness of the staff were impeccable. The food was outstanding—the fish sandwich is an absolute must-try! The location is perfect, right across from the beach and easy to find. The vibe is quaint yet modern, with a stylish California-inspired décor that makes it feel fresh and inviting. Truly a gem in Galveston!

The remodeled motel is very cutely themed with mid century modern decor that gives it all the cute points. However, the floors are painted concrete which is dented and cracked with no rug. There was old dirty caulk and grime at the base of the walls. My toilet was very crooked. The staff didn’t know if there was a WiFi password and didn’t get up to help me. They told me to call the desk from my room but I never found a phone in my room. I had to pay a resort fee but it is not a resort. The hotel restaurant was closed both days I stayed. With everything being concrete, other guests were very loud and I could feel other doors slam as I was in the bed. I did not sleep well. The beach was right across the street and access was convenient. Overall I’d say it was just OK.
