The hotel was in a great location, right off of 61st and seawall Boulevard. The staff was professional and friendly. Even though the hotel was near a somewhat busy intersection it was surprisingly quiet. We had a great view of the beach from our room. The hotel provided a good breakfast. We even learned that the hotel will allow its guests who who book and stay at the hotel before they leave on a cruise can leave their vehicle on the property for the duration of the cruise. We thought that was pretty neat.

A little dated but kept very clean in all areas. Staff was absolutely wonderful from check in to the breakfast area. Very friendly and made us feel at home. Excellent location. I was a little nervous because they were a lot less than other hotels in the area. They exceeded all expectations.

The Quality Inn Beachfront Galveston perfectly met our needs for a room for one night. Although the beds could stand to be upgraded, everything else was well maintained. Included breakfast was standard motel fare on par with most motels. We had booked three rooms, but one of the reservations didn't make it to the hotel computers. The lady at the desk quickly corrected that and changed our rooms so that we were all nearby, and on the same floor. Overall, we would return.

Room had a very musty smell, bathroom was so tight it was hard to close the door. Toilets were almost on the floor. If you are elderly do not stay here

If you want an ocean view STAY AWAY from the 1st & maybe even 2nd floor. View is obstructed by various buildings. Other than that, the hotel was great.

The only thing is there is no shuttle from the hotel to the Cruise Port, however, Taxis personnels were available to call. The area seems nice and quiet.

Would definitely stay again
Good location. Needs modernisation with the decor but it was clean and comfortable. I would suggest opening the balcony door just to get rid of the musty smell due to no opening window. 20 minutes with the door open made all the difference to rid the room of the smell.

Nice but dated
The woman who checked us in was very nice. When we got up to our room it was overall nice but dated. It seemed like the floor definitely slanted as a whole too, which was odd but we got used to it. With the humidity, the doors do stick and there is a bit of a smell but that’s not really the hotel’s fault. I’m not sure any other hotel on the island would be any different. The room was good sized and the balcony was actually more of a patio and was really good sized. The bedding was clean and we did not find any bugs anywhere.
