Weve been staying at this property for years - my kids love the indoor pool and location. That said, we will be looking elsewhere for our next visit to Galveston. The place has a fresh, thick, coat of paint (over everything) and new furniture, but most everything else was lacking. Breakfast is now just muffins and bagels. There were no cups in our room. Our TV could sometimes get sound and almost never get a picture. The bathroom door was nearly impossible to keep closed (particularly annoying with 4 people in the room). Our bathtub had no stopper. The elevators felt like they were barely working, which was particularly an issue as we needed to go downstairs to find cups. And from checkin forward, the front desk staff seemed genuinely annoyed that we were there. All in all, not what we had hoped or expected for our beach vacation.

Worst hotel stay ever
We were the ONLY guest in this facility that was changing brands and going through a complete overhaul. Dirty hallways, no breakfast or transportation. In room phones didn’t work as with most electrical outlets. Windows were covered as well as room door.

Upon checking into our room there were Sheetrock nails, Sheetrock dust and just unsafe conditions in the room. Went to the front desk and was given a different room which was dusty but a little better. Latch on door did not stay locked when pulling door open Hallway had a wet carpet odor to it. Was not what I had expected for 200 a night
