King room with ocean view/balcony, lock on balcony wouldn’t relock after unlocking to utilize balcony (not first story), blind behind window shade had issues going up and down, room door had issues latching - had to result in slamming the door and possibly disrupting other guests in middle of the night. Everything else was awesome. Two breakfast locations - I’m willing to stay at this property to again to give another chance. But if in a room with the same issues, I wouldn’t stay a third time.

This property did not look like its pictures. I was truly disappointed. The pool was tiny and overrun with children. It was not the quick overnight staycation I envisioned.
I didn't like their $15 a day parking fee, which wasn't mentioned anywhere except at the hotel. They give you a swag bag with just 2 bottles of water in it, like that's a big deal. Why don't they just put the water in the room like every other motel.
Over charged on rooms, showers are so slippery we fell down, no ice buckets, no place for service dog to go potty but by door and bags out in parking lot, not given the room I paid for check those ocean view rooms! Two hotels in one ??? over crowded by cruise goers! If you phobia well it's crowded, they can't keep up with drinks or coffee! We bought stuff to clean our own room! Not enough pillows! door SLAM watch you HANDS and FEET and children ALAMS WAKE YOU EVERY MORNING!!!! Supose it's for Cruise GOERS
We enjoyed our stay. The bed/pillows were comfortable and the AC worked great!
It could have been cleaned a little better. The bathrooms sink backed up every time we used it and there was hair on the shower floor.
Overall, it as a good deal for the price!

Unfairly Charged and Unfriendly Staff
We didnt know about the $15 parking charge until after booking the room. Its not listed in the amenities on the website when reading about what they offer. Beware of sites that say parking available that means a charge will be incurred. The front desk staff are not friendly or helpful at all. They know there are no ice buckets in the rooms so why not offer one at the time of check-in. Also don't just hand me unpackaged cups, i dont know if your hands are clean being that the staff member are touching different credit cards and sniffling as well. I will say this, I won't be back here again. Holiday Inn Express is where I normally book my hotel stays and I will not use Tru again.
The hotel charges $15 a day for their own large private parking lot which is ridiculous. It’s not like the hotel is in a major city with limited parking. The check in staff were on their cell phones every time we passed. They had 2 water jugs with fruit in the lobby. The jugs were stopped up by all the fruit and not giving any water. There were cups all over. The water was only out one day of our 4 day stay. The front desk staff should have seen the mess and either cleaned it or called someone. But they were too busy talking to each other or being on their phones.
Pet friendly-there were dogs everywhere! The hallways smell musty and like wet dog. If you have allergies or are afraid of dogs this is not the place for you.
The layout of the room is awful. No microwave, no dresser or drawers or closet. You get a hanging bar over the mini fridge to hang any clothes. You have to leave your suitcase closed in order to walk around the room. Not a good value for the price.
They charge you for parking per night. There isn’t a microwave in the room. For the price of the room I’d expect more from them as well as them to come clean and or bring towels everyday
