Incredible staff, great location beautiful property. You can definitely tell when youre in there that it is older and seems actually very old. They may be doing renovations. I would still return great time great pool area which also has a pool bar. We had a great time

While the resort itself had a beautifully decorated lobby and shared spaces, the experience didn’t quite carry over to the rooms. Unfortunately, the rooms were very basic—clean, but lacking any charm or upgraded feel you’d expect for the price. On a positive note, the on-site restaurants were solid, and the hotel grounds were well-maintained, offering a relaxing atmosphere outdoors. However, considering the nightly rate, I expected more from the accommodations and the overall service. The staff, while professional, came across as dry and not particularly warm or welcoming. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible stay, but I do think there are better options available at this price point.

Soundproofing was terrible. I was woken up by crying kids and people arguing near the elevators. The room had some details that were not of high quality (painting over the wallpaper but missing spots). The non valet entrance was hard to find. The service was fantastic though. I just think the quality of the property was not worth the price

Checking I was slow. I booked ahead and requested a room ona high floor on or above 10. They could not accommodate at check in. Rooms and decir a bit dated. Toilet not functioning properly. TV remote not operational. Had to call twice on second morning to have the room serviced. Pool and grounds are very nice. San Luis is supposed to be la crème de la crème in Galveston. A bit overpriced for what you get in amenities and service. Service is key!!

For the prices you'd think the property would be better kept up. It's definitely a nice place. Although they could do so much better with the craftsmanship of the repairs and upkeep.

Very pretty hotel and property. The scent that they had in the entryway was very overpowering. Parking was horrible, so we opted for valet which the young men were very courteous and attentive. Bathroom had black mold above the tub and dried urine on the base of the toilet which was really gross. Beautiful views from the balcony that we would have really enjoyed if it wasn't raining during our entire stay. Pool and hot tub were very nice but the hot tub was actually very small for being a high end hotel and was full of people smoking weed and drinking beer from glass bottles.
