The hotel itself looks lovely and has great facilities. But the rooms are small (even the superior rooms lack space for your bags) and we kept stubbing our toe on the bed while trying to squeeze between the wall and the bed. The bed itself was two singles pushed together with a saggy foam layer on top. The bathroom was nicely decorated, but we were disappointed that the shower soap dispenser was left empty during our 2 day stay, and we were given a comically small towel on the second night. Facilities at the hotel were lovely, particularly the gym and the outdoor pool/jacuzzi. Definitely 5 stars for both of these. Overall, service at The Dean lacked warmth (which is unusual in Ireland), and didn't really align with expectations or the cost charged.

We had a lovely 2 night stay. The room was really comfortable and clean. The heated pool and facilities were great. Great distance in to town everything within walking distance. Really enjoyed our break away

Another noisy night in anothet Dean

I stayed in the ground floor room and unfrotunately there was a party on downstairs on a Sunday. With no soundproofing and noise from the smoking area it was impossible to sleep. I asked the receptionist could i move rooms and she said there were none on another floor and was not honest on what time the music would stop. She passified me but did not help. It took three visits to reception to find out it would be going on much later and that i could move rooms. But I demanded a room switch that was not offered . I didnt sleep at all. The decor is nice and the gym and pool are nice but there is little thought for the fact people might want to sleep

Stylish spot in Galway

Lovely, modern hotel with a range of facilities. Overall suffers a bit from form over function. Great for insta pics but some of the design not very functional ie bathrooms, layout of (small) room. But did get early check in which is always a big plus, and staff were welcoming & friendly. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food. We did order a drink at the bar 1 night but bartender didn't know how to make a negroni. Be aware if you want the room serviced you have to alert them - I get the reasoning for this but also expect it to be standard in a 4* hotel. When we returned at 6pm to a non-serviced room I was disappointed, however the front desk did get it sorted right away, so that was good. Rooms are small, bed was very soft so I found it quite uncomfortable but that's my personal preference. The heated pool looked lovely although I did not partake, but will next time. Great location, only a short walk to the centre of everything.

Booked 4 rooms here on Sunday 29th, told Peigs bar was open till 2, but came back to the hotel at 11.30 to be told that Peigs was closing as the bar man had to work in the morning. Porter served us in the reception area, bur disappointing all the same

Great city spot

Great stay in this city centre hotel - room was upgraded and very comfortable - the best hotel towels for a long time! Only gripe -parking is a 5-6 minute walk away (in the rain) Rooftop bar and terrace fab - look forward to returning in the summer
