The Dean Galway is a great hotel to stay at. The rooms have air conditioning, which is hard to come by and there is a wonderful fitness center as well as a pool, sauna, and steam room. The hotel is in a great location as we were able to walk every where. Staff were quite pleasant and hospitable.

The Dean is located about 5 minutes walking from Eyre Square in Galway. This is a main area where you can catch a bus or train. The area is safe but there is not much around for shopping. The hotel itself is gorgeous, the details, decorations, and style is very bougie but some of it is more beautiful than functional. The shower for instance looks nice but the door is not flush with the opening and the floor got soaked anytime we showered. Our king bed was two twin beds and the middle was obvious. The bedframe itself wasnt great either and the marble side tables looked nice but were too big for the space and I found myself hitting them when I was in bed. The staff of the hotel were nice but I feel as if the hotel looks nice but is somewhat impractical.

I was very disappointed with the room. I had to crawl onto the bed as I had no leeway to climb onto the bed from the sides. It was quite uncomfortable as I suffer from very bad back problems. I did speak to the receptionist and she said they had no rooms available. For the price I paid it was very disappointing.

Nice 3 star Hotel. I would suggest that the owner focus upon the basics, forget trying to be fancy and funny and just provide good service and food! Does their profile mention that they do not have parking?

Amazing Boutique Hotel

Amazing boutique hotel! The rooms are perfect for 2. Contemporary and very comfortable. And it's an easy walk to the Quay, but far enough away from the crowds. Plus, the staff was great. Highly recommended.

The service was excellent from the moment we entered the hotel, from reception, bar staff, spa/gym facilities were all very welcoming and helpful. The room was immaculate and the shower was amazing! Very quiet and relaxing hotel. Very accessible to walk into the Latin Quarter but far enough to be away from the noise. Only downside is that we found the parking to be a little far if you are to carry luggage with you to and from the car to the hotel (it’s up hill so it’s easier on the way back). Other than that, pricing for parking is very reasonable considering. Overall, a great hotel with great staff in a perfect location. I will definitely return again!

new hotel in Galway next to Erye Square

Brand new Hotel. I’m used to staying in older modified hotels all across Ireland . This place is fun and modern. Meant for the business travel of girls trip . Rooftop bar is beautiful. If you are looking for old quaint Ireland go somewhere else. This is a beautiful hotel with bars / pool/gym and wonderful hotel staff

The Dean Galway…If I could give 6 stars, I would! From the moment we arrived, the front desk was truly delightful. The baristas? Absolutely adorable. Sophie’s was fantastic, gorgeous view, perfect arancini, great wine list, and service that made us feel special. The rooms are stunning, and that shower… IYKYK. We didn’t have time to enjoy the beautiful spa area, but trust me, book it, work out, take a dip in the hot tub/pool (whatever they want to call it). It’s lovely. Bottom line: stop scrolling, stop searching. This is the place to stay in Galway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff was professional, welcoming and very friendly. We encountered Erica, David and one other staff member (with the heavy metal band vest). The room was great, very clean, though a bit on the warm side. The only negative was the fitness room below us, when the group fitness instructor started shouting "Let's Go!" at 7am. We would love to return; the staff was amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend The Dean to anyone visiting Galway!!

The property itself was very nice. However i stayed on the ground floor and it was pretty loud. My room over looked the pool so it was noisy when there were people out there. As well my second night there was a party in their basement floor and the music was super loud and didnt stop until 11:30pm. The walls were also very thin you could hear in the hallway and the people next to you quite clearly. I stayed in the Mod room so not sure if this is the whole hotel. How er, the staff were extremely lovely people and very kind. The room itself was very clean and the bathroom was great.

Stayed for 3 nights. Room very was clean and comfortable. Roughly 15 minutes walk to Latin quarter, 10 to the train station. Only downside is that rooms are not soundproof so the comfort quality comes down to your neighbours. Would recommend
