Very clean and comfortable. Excellent location and an easy walk to the City Centre. The restaurant was a highlight of our entire trip. Amazing food, atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely return.

IT was truly disappointing. I called to request two bed but only one bed available, could not use the air condition and it was too hot to sleep plus had to share a bed and NO STAFF to greet us, we have to hunt them down in the restaurant then do one to help with our bags. I would not recommend this to anyone and would have liked to talk to someone about a discount while I was there for such a bad experience. The staff throughout were extremely friendly and attentive, especially in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Room was a great size, extremely comfortable with all amenities. One of the best breakfasts of our entire trip.

We had an overall pleasant stay. We traveled as (4) couples and unfortunately out of the (4) rooms the heat was not operating. We actually changed rooms, where the heat did function. The staff and maintenance were sympathetic to our needs and tried to assist in every way possible. The restaurant and bar are wonderful.

Very comfortable rooms! The beds were soft and comfy, we appreciated the fan for some airflow, and the shower was excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly as well. The restaurant downstairs had the best curry I’ve ever had. Five out of five stars!

The Huntsmann Inn was clean and fairly quiet, especially considering it is on a main road. They installed thick windows and blackout curtains to help keep out noise. It is attached to their restaurant and I did wake up one night at 3am due to vacuuming sounds coming from downstairs, but it didn't last long and my friend did not notice the noise. The inside of the room was comfortable and clean...we really enjoyed the cozy king sized bed. My friend and I loved the soap products in the bathroom (they were the same ones Ashford Castle uses). It is about a 15-20 minute-walk from downtown Galway, but there are plenty of Taxis around and ample parking.

Slightly underwhelming
Arrival was a bit chaotic as the reception was in the restaurant as the new reception was still under construction. However it got sorted. Our rooms were ‘ok’ but a bit tired. We could make out if the hotel was more about the restaurant and bar situation or hotel. The hotel faces a big dual carriageway which you definitely don’t see from the website. A few things underwhelmed us and we did voice our opinion and it was listened to and rectified. We were offered a drink at the bar due to the reception still not being finished.

A great option if you're staying in Galway. The rooms are sizable, the restaurant and bar are very good, and to uber or walk to Eyre Square is quite easy.
