The lady was a bit short & rude with her tone of voice and facial expression when I asked if the room was river front. I had no idea all the rooms there were riverfront. The room was very night, clean, and comfortable.

No water.

No water in machines. No soda in machines. Would not give us water, and I was having dehydration and heat stroke, still they would not give us water. Bed uncomfortable. Nice thing and appreciated, was the nice smoking area. Very nice for a good amount of smokers. Would not stay again.

Bathroom was very old and not maintained very well. Room was ok clean and spacious. River Balcony was the best part of the reservation. Breakfast available was average. Location was fair not sure I would walk to the main strip of shops and food etc quite a ways away

Pictures were not recent. The lobby could use some updated paint, the hall to the elevator was dirty & smelled bad, but once in the room it was completely different. The room was clean & updated. Had an electric fireplace, large room with couch, balcony overlooking the river. I was very pleased with room!

Great location

This is a really cool place. Yes- it is old. Yes it could use some work but the location is excellent, the stream is cool and you can walk to just about anything in Gatlinburg. Price is right also. The kids loved the pool

Situation NOT handled OTHERWISE BEAUTIFUL PLACE

We didn't get to stay the weather was so bad we missed our 3pm check in. I continued to call and update the hotel on our obstacles. We didn't arrive until 8a which would be our 2nd day of the rental. I asked if we could please be refunded due to the weather and road conditions. Or if we could stay an extra night. Each host told me to speak to their manager who would arrive 11am. Apparently I missed the managers arrival; because the third party booking emailed stating it looks like they're not willing to make any accommodations or refunds. Then the power went out in our room. Instead of being a total beeee about it-- I was understanding and courteous you know like I expected the manager to be towards me under the circumstances. I can say the place looks run down outside but the rooms are beautiful and our view over a nice creek of beautiful stones and a few fire pits and hammocks .. The ambience was spectacular. The trolley stops right above the parking lot. Everything was perfect even the Hot/Continental? Breakfast only things hot were eggs, gravy, sausage, biscuits make your own waffles NO THEY'RE NOT BEAR SHAPED... cold were Cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee and juice...

I was so surprise of the room. It was spacious and clean. The balcony facing the river was the real gold. A nice way to wine down after a day of shopping .
