I love this older hotel. Unfortunately I was not able to make it this time. I started a little late and the road through the National Park was closed due to snow.

Great location and breakfast

I loved this place. It was built in 1937, so it has a vintage charm. It is centrally located on the strip which is amazing. Great fresh breakfast!

Historical property with loads of character. If you want a spa-like or modern experience, this might not be for you. The Gatlinburg Inn is a time-capsule that takes you back to a time when things were slower. There were so many pictures displayed of famous people from long ago and aged pictures of locations within the area and National Park. Such a charming inn, it won't be our last visit

The staff were so nice, we went on New Years Eve there was a party Close to everything. The only thing was we did not get the city side of like we ask for when we booked our room the reason was we booked thru 3rd party. Other than that yhere was coffee hot chocolate and fresh cookies.

If you want to be close to the strip your not going to find a better place. It is located close to the middle . Walking distance to everything. All the employees were real friendly and they do a great job of keeping everything clean. Also they have a really good breakfast.

Only if......

The location of this hotel on the strip cannot be discounted, however the rooms are in need of renovation. The bed was uncomfortable and the four foot fluorescent light over the headboard of the bed was so bright and jarring. Only stay here if you want the location.

It’s a No from me!

The staff were very nice. The breakfast provided was good. They had a good selection. The beds were hard as a rock. I expected rustic, but this was beyond. The carpet did not appear to have ever been changed from the opening of the hotel. It definitely was not vacuumed prior to us getting there as there were candy wrappers and loose change in the floor. The floors were not level. The furniture leaned because of the unlevel floors. The bathroom was the only part of the room that appears to have been updated at all. There were very limited electrical outlets. Only 2 I found in the main room and the one by the bed was behind the bed and not easily accessible. The rooms around the reception desk were rustic but decorated nicely. The best part of the hotel was the location. Walk out the front door and onto the main strip of shops in downtown. I’m sorry to say I would not recommend this hotel as I definitely would not stay here again.

The hotel needs work. Heat was broke and shower head also sprayed water throughout the bathroom. Took multiple calls to the front desk to get a space heater brought to us…it was only 24 degrees outside!!!!
