Convenient being downtown with guaranteed parking. Very clean with super friendly staff. Would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the room.

Great staff, very clean just has a bad odor
This hotel have the best staff, they are so kind, hard working, and attentive. The breakfast is amazing! The hotel is exceptionally clean, however the smell/odor is just too strong. It is an old house, musky smell that hits you as soon as you walk in the lobby and into your room then even home with you. It’s very strong and can be aggravating, especially when the hotel is so well kept and cozy. We would love to stay here again but we know we will never be able to due to being sensitive with allergies etc that the “old musky” smelll is just too much.

The location was fantastic. The bathroom was beautiful. The hotel is older but clean and the bed was wonderful. Breakfast was fantastic. The staff were so nice and knowledgeable.

The hotel is quirky all the furniture is old, which is in keeping with the hotel it is a historic hotel after all, the bathroom had been renovated and was very nice, the bed seemed quite new and was comfortable, the room had a musty smell which I think was from the carpet. Over all it was ok for our one night stay

All of the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The property was the oldest in Gatlinburg, but they gave all the modern amenities without giving up the old charm.

Hotel has such a historic feel to it. It is so convenient to everything around. Nightlife, local wine, cider and moonshine stores as well as the Sky Lift is right next door. Can't wait to return.

We had always wanted to stay at this historic property. We booked two nights, the first of which was wonderful. The second night, there was an argument in the room next to hours which resulted in blaring TV and thumping/physical fighting. I called the front desk and security was sent. The visit helped for 30 minutes, then the disturbance ensued again. Mind you, this was 2am, past any reasonable quiet time. My wife called the desk the second time and was told by the desk clerk that he would call them and try to quieten them down. Call them? Why was security not sent back? Was he afraid? This dampened the stay especially after we reported it and security was involved. I suppose it’s who you know. But, I know it was a terrible ending to an otherwise pleasant visit.
