We stayed one night here before going to Cades Cove. The staff were great, but the facilities are a bit old for what you pay. The bed was not super comfortable and the air conditioner made a screeching sound all night. The place is super convenient to the national park and I’m sure it would be great if they did a little upgrade and modernization.

Older property but well kept and clean. Nice big rooms and comphy beds. Doesn't have aminities like breakfast or other chain hotel perks. Great place to stay and sleep. Has an outdoor fire pit and pool. Staff was super friendly and helpful will definitely stay again.

Amazing, very clean, off the beaten path hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was very laid back and welcoming. The pool was crystal clear. The patio and playground area were a very added bonus. Loved this hotel! Will definitely go back!

My husband and I have been coming to the smokies at least once a year since 2021. This is the most pleasant stay we’ve had. I can’t say enough about how great the Townsend Gateway inn was. They greeted my dog at check in with a biscuit so he also sends a five star review. We stayed in cottage 1 and can’t wait to come back!

The room air conditioner was noisy, leaked water all night long and never made it down to 69 degrees. Morning staff was indifferent about it and our experience saying they’d fix it. Bedding was not very nice, room needed a deep cleaning- especially bathroom. Close to park entrance, there are other motels that are probably equivalent that are closer. Be aware that one person’s 5 star is another’s 2-3.
