Please fix your check in time
The website told me the hotel check in was 24 hours, which made me sign up bc I had to drove 6 hours there to make it on time for a business meeting. I later found out that it was a false information and I had to wait till 11, which only happened bc I put a complaint in. They were going to just make me wait till 2pm. The room itself was clean and comfortable overall.

Good for work visits to DSME
The hotel staff is excellent, very helpful and courteous but can be overbearing as they tend to hover a little too much. This is typical of Koren style hotel staff and is nice for a while if you're on vacation but when there for business or work at DSME can be tiresome. Korean food is good but after a while if you want something Western style don't expect much. There are plenty of decent restaurants within walking distance though and lots of expats if you don't speak Korean that are usually friendly and will help you out. There is a seedy side to Okpo though so be careful what bars you head into unless your looking for that sort of thing. Book a higher end room, I was there 3 weeks this last time and had to extend my stay at the last minute, was moved from a deluxe room with a queen bed and working heat/AC on the 3rd floor to a single bed room (essentially a cot) on the ground level that was like a sauna, AC didn't work so had to sleep with the windows open. It was the only room available according to staff but I was charged the same rate as the rest of my stay. All the credit goes to the staff though because I could not fly and needed a room, in my experience it's the best hotel in Okpo and second best on Geoje Island, only Samsung Hotel is superior but overpriced.

Quiet location
Comfortable hotel with one major drawback - no lift! Although only 2 above ground floors. Guests with mobility issues could have a problem. Breakfast was plentiful even if it was a bit on the pricey side. English speaking staff were very attentive and polite. Location is away from the centre of town so it makes it reasonably quiet, the downside being that it is a 10-15 minute walk (downhill into town - uphill on the return) from the shops & eating places. Dining in the hotel's two restaurants is possible, but as with the breakfasts, quite expensive. There is a convenient small coffee shop next door, which I think is part of the hotel complex, which serves light snacks, sandwiches and proper English tea with milk!!! Breakfast is advertised as 6.30 - 9.30. But appear at 9.20 and you might find the staff have started clearing away!!

The food was great in the hotel and close to the hotel. Perfect location for my business at the DSME Shipyard. Very close to Lotte Mart (Supermarket) for food and supplies.

Good hotel for DSME
Quiet room on the inside of the south wing (the outside wing to the south has some noise from airconditioning units). Hotel is a bit tired, but friendly staff and service. Reasonable Gym - at extra 5000 Won per day. Breakfast is ok - if a bit expensive (24,000 Won). The hotel is in a quiet area, but easy access to restaurants etc downtown within a 5-10 minute walk. The Lotte Mart is 5 minute away by foot. 15 minutes to DSME office - or shuttle bus to yard. Recommended

Pleasant Stay
I had to stay in Geoje for night and was able to get a good price for this hotel. It's not the newest, but pickings are rather slim in Geoje. The front desk has 24-hour check-in and check-in was quick. The room was comfortable and the bathroom did have a tub. I believe some toiletries were provided and there was a kettle in the room with the usual coffee packets and tea.

좋아요
깔끔하고 괜찮았어요. 직원 분들 되게 친절 하셨구요. 호텔에 일찍 도착 했는데 룸 정리 되자마자 얼리체크인 해주셔서 감사했습니다. 전등을 다 켜도 방이 좀 어두웠는데, 전등 하나에 불이 안 들어와서 더 어두웠어요. 엘리베이터 없는게 놀라웠지만 3층이 최고 층이라 나름 다닐만 했어요. 뚜벅이로 매미성, 외도유람선 선착장 다녀 왔는데 호텔에서 버스 한번에 가서 편리해요.
