While the room was clean and comfortably furnished, we found the bed very uncomfortable. When we arrived the evening desk clerk was frankly scary appearing/unkept and not pleasant. We had asked for a room on the ground level and/or close to an elevator as I am unable to walk far or climb stairs. We had been given a third floor room with out an elevator. I indicated to him I had made my request when we booked and he said it wasn't there. Interestingly he reread the booking and conveniently threw away a page of the booking as we stood there. I did go back into my booking and the request was there. He was able to get us into a first floor room- said they were all the same price anyway- which I don't think is correct but at that point we just needed to get a room. Doubt we will ever stay her again as we travel thru.

Good enough but won't return.
Conveniently located to main downtown area. Easy to find, check in and getting to room was easy. It is an older hotel, could certainly use some updating but bed was comfortable which was a big plus, had hot water and heat so not terrible. I wouldn't stay there again though.

Beautiful property and very reasonably priced! The layout of the property is just adorable and well taken care of. Lots of paths and places to sit outside and spend time. Gorgeous views of the mountains and clear creek:) would absolutely love to stay here again!

Pleasant surprise in small mountain town.
Argo Inn was a pleasant surprise! Although the interior decor could use an upgrade, the room was plenty spacious, clean, and comfortable. Being able to see the lovely creek was a definite plus. The staff was wonderful; very friendly, and accommodating. All requests were answered promptly, and with a smile. It was also within walking distance to a great local diner.

Everything about this room was great - great view, nice patio, comfortable beds, clean everything BUT the air conditioner barely worked and even with the patio door open, it was difficult to cool the room down.

The overall theme for this hotel is “Ok”. I booked for 4 nights on an upper level room with 2 Queen beds and only because this was the most affordable for the area. We were not staying in our room most of the day anyway. The hotel is still stuck in the 90s: wallpaper peeling, holes in the wall from old decor still apparent, most likely the same carpet. Cigarette staines on the patio furniture. On a positive note: the best aspect of the hotel is the location next to the creek. Very soothing sound especially if you can have the patio door open. Beds appeared clean, comfy, the shower was fine as in not scummy or stained. Good water pressure. Fridge and microwave provided in the room. Staff was mostly friendly. The area has some walkable places to eat. And just a tip for travelers staying in the cold season, the hotel is mainly only accessible through I-70 which has alot of construction going on currently. We did get stuck in stand still traffic a few times with no around about ways to get back to our hotel.
