Room was a bit dated. If staying on the ground floor you can hear everything going on in the unit above. Footsteps from above unit were very loud. Bottom floor units had an unpleasing smell that wouldn't go away. Not sure if the same on the upper floors. Otherwise a one time stay for us.

Spent our anniversary at Christie’s Mill (first time we’d ever been) and overall we had a wonderful stay! Our original room was across from the sauna and was super hot but we got our room upgraded and switched within a few hours of our arrival with immense apologies from the staff! We weren’t a huge fan of the dinner menu but loved going to the restaurant for breakfast. Pool definitely could’ve been warmer in my opinion since it is labeled as a “heated indoor pool” and didn’t look the cleanest. But the soaker tub was wonderful, and loved the outdoor sitting area when we finished swimming. Overall the hotel staff and restaurant staff were amazing and super helpful with anything we needed. We enjoyed our getaway and would definitely return.

An average hotel for the price

Pros: Staff is very friendly and accommodating for requests. The amenities are great. Cons: There are dogs behind the checkin counter and there is a strong dog smell in the lobby. The room had bugs and spider webs in it. The room had not been cleaned properly as food dropped by the last guests was still on the carpet when we checked in. The shower head is average and not what we would expect for the price.

Relaxing weekend. All you need under one roof.

Christie's Mill Inn and Spa was the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend. We swam in the lake (small private beach with chairs and shade); we used the indoor pool (which was clean and spacious) and the amazing outdoor areas for relaxing (from couches to beds to Muskoka chairs, all over the property facing the water). We had dinner in the restaurant and it was lovely, also used the spa where everyone was nice and the place was clean. No need to go anywhere at all during the weekend. It was relaxing and we left happy and well rested! Would recommend and will most definitely come back!

The view was beautiful except my room on the second floor did not have access to the deck . The other rooms did on either side of me so other people could sit on the deck (which they did) but I had to keep my blind closed for privacy. My room was in the middle . Not sure why I was the lucky one 😬 There is no elevator to the second floor which was difficult for a 73 year old to carry luggage / no offer from staff to help. The dinner was okay but expensive .

Very close to the 400 highway, but very quiet. The call of loons, ducks and geese were very soothing. Watched a beaver swim by. While most of the features (restaurant, seasonal water craft) were not available as it was off season, we were able to walk to another restaurant and it was great. Looking forward to visiting again during summer season.

1. There was a putrid odour in the hallway outside our room. 2. Unexpected charges of $25 /day. When asked we were told it was to use the pool and any other activities. We did not actually use any “activities” but none the less we were charged $50 extra on our bill.
