It was a nice hotel but really overpriced.

Wow, merci beaucoup c’était super. La salle commune est vraiment pratique avec frigo, lave-vaisselle, vaisselle. Très propre, lit confortable, c’était 5/5!

Only spent one night there, but hotel was very clean and all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Great Azorean restaurant (Estradinhos) within a block or so as well which was very convenient. Highly recommended.

Great stay for our last day in sao miguel! Right by the airport! Walkable to lots of restaurants and places to see!

Our stay at Moinho da Areia was absolutely wonderful! The historic property is beautiful, the bedding was highly comfortable, and you cannot beat the direct beach access. What truly made our trip special was the innkeeper, Cristina. She is fantastic! She prepared a delicious daily breakfast and went out of her way to help us with special requests, even providing a travel converter when we realized we forgot ours. A local music festival did impact our stay, making it less quiet than we had originally hoped for. However, the property hosts proactively informed us of the event well prior to our arrival, so we really appreciated the honest communication and great service!

Location close to the city with great views of the ocean. Good bedding. Fruits, water, milk and crackers were appreciated. The property is in need of better maintenance though - there is mold in the bathrooms, poorly cleaned windows which ruin the view, linens and towers had sports on them, the whole apartment has a damp smell to it. With all of that, not worth the price we paid.

People who run it are great. Nice restaurant right next door. Great room and facilities. Excellent service
