We stayed for two nights. The hotel is very smart, our room faces the riverside. Staffs are very friendly and very helpful. The cheese cake in the restaurant is exceptionally nice, we had one at super and had one for take away.

Chill weekend

Fast friendly checkin,room was spotless & comfortable.Nice bar good range of drinks. Breakfast on 1st morning dissapointing most things had run out started plating what i could only to find most items empty was told 5/10 mins wait so had what i had plated up as items would have been cold think would be better checking b4 food items run out as the next morning it was totally filled up.Only gripe with the Hotel Management is their policy on football tops on a visit at xmas time my young son was refused into breakfast until he removed his top fair enough this weekend the breakfast room was full of adults/kids with opposite team strips on totally unacceptable one rule for one basically management take note please.We have stayed a few times overall a nice place to stay very central.

Highly recommend this hotel

Wonderful staff, so very friendly and helpful. Exceptionally clean room, in fact all areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean. Lovely bar and super breakfast and bar meal too. Location great - can highly highly recommend this hotel.

Had a great stay with 2 friends for Celtic Connections. The room had plenty of space for us all. Beds were comfortable and the room very clean. This hotel is so nice and in a great location for lots of bars and restaurants in the city. The hotel bar is also very nice and they do a good old fashioned!

3rd time unlucky

Stayed in deluxe room a couple of times in this hotel and have always loved our stay. This time we ended up on the 2nd floor with no view and room was dark and gloomy. Really changed the vibe as the view of river made our stay on previous occasions.

Excellent hotel stay

From start to finish we cannot fault this hotel. The staff are all very helpful and pleasant. The room was very nice- clean, bright and had all you needed for a base for a few days in Glasgow. The interior of the hotel is very modern but has kept some of the original features at the front of the hotel from when it was the customs house. The location is just perfect for every where- 6 minutes to the train station, 2 minutes to the river for a nice walk, and very near all bars, restaurants and shops. Also great for commuting to other areas on bus or train if needed. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back next time we visit Glasgow.

Lovely hotel put poor and overpriced room service

I have stayed at the Clayton Glasgow many times and have always enjoyed my stays. The rooms are clean and well appointed, the hotel is well located and the staff are friendly. I did enjoy my stay again this time, however my only criticism is that this time I ordered pizza on room service off the nighttime menu. The pizza was meant to cost £16 + £5 tray charge (so already expensive for what was a very small pizza). In the end I was charged £22.50 for an unexplained reason. I was told the order would take max 30 mins. After nearly 50 minutes it had not arrived. I called reception and was told it would be another 5-10 mins as they had a backlog. The pizza then eventually appeared. I was not offered a refund even of the tray charge which was rather disappointing all things considered.

Great hotel for your Glasgow trip

We only had the pleasure to stay one night but the hotel was well located to stroll around Glasgow City Center and have a great weekend trip. The room was very cozy and comfy and the staff was great. We will come back when we‘re back in Glasgow.
